Nazi "Werewolves" and Genetic Hybrids
One of Dariusz Kwiecień's most sensational claims is that the Germans conducted secret genetic experiments during World War II that resulted in the creation of half-human, half-wolf creatures . According to Kwiecień, the Nazis tortured people and transformed them into werewolves, which were then released into the forests to hunt prisoners, and which still survive in the mountainous backwoods of Lower Silesia.
There is no scientific or historical evidence to support the existence of such experiments. Medical records and witness statements regarding Nazi research (e.g., Dr. Mengele's cruel pseudo-medical tests or experiments in concentration camps) contain no mention of attempts to create human-animal hybrids.
The level of genetic knowledge in the 1940s absolutely ruled out the possibility of "breeding" werewolves – DNA had not yet been discovered, let alone the techniques for modifying it. Historians emphasize that the only "werewolves" associated with the Third Reich were the Werwolf , the name of sabotage units formed at the end of the war for partisan warfare. However, this was a propaganda metaphor , not a literal description of superhuman beings. The lack of any evidence (Allied reports, post-war accounts, or archaeological finds) confirming the existence of mutants in the forests around the Riese complex suggests that this is pure fantasy, a myth created for sensational purposes .
