The Occultism of the Third Reich and the "Great Opening of the Gates"
Another favorite topic of Kwiecień's is the alleged profound occultism in Nazi Germany . He recounts secret SS rituals, Black Masses, interdimensional gateway openings, and Satanic ceremonies supposedly taking place in the Riese underground. Such narratives are based on the fact that Nazi ideology drew on mysticism and neo-pagan symbolism—for example, Heinrich Himmler was interested in Grail legends, and the Ahnenerbe organization explored the mythical roots of the "Nordic race."
This doesn't mean, however, that the SS performed witchcraft rituals straight out of a horror movie in the Owl Mountains. Known historical accounts indicate that occult activities in the Third Reich were limited primarily to symbolism, esoteric explorations, and pseudoscientific racial theories— without any real "paranormal" effects .
Despite this, Dariusz Kwiecień frightens readers with visions of an impending "Grand Opening of the Gates ," suggesting that sinister powers unleashed by Nazi ceremonies would soon be realized. Such claims are also unsubstantiated by any credible source . After the war, numerous investigations and studies of the Riese complex and other secrets of the Third Reich were conducted—nowhere was the discovery of an occult cult site or traces of "Black Masses." While the Nazis' fascination with the occult is a fact, attributing supernatural activities to them is the domain of pop culture and conspiracy theories , not reliable historiography.
The main victim of Dariusz Kwiecień's vivid imagination, and the focal point of the singular universe he created, was the Riese complex in Lower Silesia. The photo shows the underground in Osówka. Source: Wikimedia, under a free license
