love has more than one name, parts 53-60

"You shouldn't do that again, think about it next time," he said dryly and left. She sat in a daze, pondering what she'd heard. He was right, it didn't matter that she'd endangered her own life, but she was pregnant and now she couldn't think only of herself, she had to think first and foremost about the baby who was counting on her common sense. She dialed Daniel's number and waited for him to answer, listening to the long rings. "
Hello?" she heard his voice, a warm and so loving voice
. "It's me, little brother."
"I see you liked it there, that you stayed longer. I really don't know what you see in this cabin
." "Shut up, what are you even saying? How could you even think I could like it here and that I'm staying of my own free will when Wiktor is here? Have you lost your mind?" she screamed, not knowing why
. "Okay." "I'm sorry," he began to back away. "I see
you were worried about me, very much so.
" "You know, you're my sister, how could I not worry about you?
" "I see you could," she said harshly and unnaturally. "Poor me, I almost spent the whole night in the forest. A wild boar attacked me, and you were probably having the time of your life
." "Who attacked you? You've got to be kidding, where were you? Was it Wiktor's doing? Of course, I'll murder him.
" "What are you even talking about? Are you imagining that he brought the wild boar that attacked me to my bedroom? I don't believe it, I went into the forest and got lost..." She heard footsteps on the stairs, then a knock on the door. "I have to go, he wants to come into my room, kisses, bye
." "Where do I want to go? Amelia, what's going on there? Remember, you're siblings and you're not allowed to do anything, do you hear me?" came a voice. from the phone, but the girl wasn't listening anymore, she quickly hung up and went to open the door.
"Breakfast, I know it won't be the same as when Grazyna cooks, but she's not here, she's only here on weekends, she probably doesn't realize we're here." He smiled broadly from ear to ear. How fickle he can be. A moment ago he was shouting at her, now he's bringing her breakfast practically in bed and smiling at her.
"So, have you prepared anything interesting?" He looked surprised at her reaction, but there was no need to wait long. He began to place the entire tray on her table,
one by one. "I see they're all delicious .
" "Do you like it?"
"Wait until I try it, I haven't eaten anything yet," she said, laughing. They ate everything without speaking to each other, but their faces spoke for themselves, and their ears quivered as they ate. When they finished, Amelia started putting away the dishes, but he wouldn't let her. "Leave me alone, I'll
do it. " "
You prepared it, I'll clean it up." "Do you want
me to chase you out of the kitchen like Grazyna?"
"How do you know?"
"I heard," he smiled mysteriously again and added, "So, are you going to leave it or do you want to fight with the dishcloth?
" "But you don't have a dishcloth!" She laughed
, seeing that she had surprised him. "But I have a pillow," he said, throwing himself towards the bed. She did the same, and a moment later they were fighting with the pillows, feathers flying in the air. " Stop it!" she
suddenly shouted .
"Did something happen to you? I forgot you were in pain, did I scratch you somewhere? If so, I'm sorry.
"No, but this is your sister's room, I don't want anything to get broken here, so I don't think we should fight with her pillows. It's enough that I sleep on them." "I think
you're right." He got up from her bed, from her, from no one else's, but from her crib, went to the table, and gathered the dishes onto a tray. "I'll be in the kitchen, I'm leaving in about an hour, and you?"
"I think that's within those limits, I'll tidy up a bit here." She looked pointedly at the room. The floor was littered with feathers. "Where can I find the vacuum cleaner?" "
It's hidden in that little brown cabinet by the stairs." "Thanks."
He
left, and she arranged the teddy bears in the order she'd already determined. She arranged the groups they belonged in, and each group had its own shelf. She went out into the hallway and found the vacuum cleaner where Wiktor had indicated. Once the room was tidied up, she gathered all the things she was supposed to take and went downstairs. She noticed Wiktor sitting in the living room, reading the newspaper. "Maniac," she thought, and approached him. "
Are you going already?"
"Yes, I was waiting for you to pull yourself together because I want to lock the door. I haven't given you a set of keys yet." He handed her a few keys with a charm similar to the one she once gave him. Coincidence? No, he did it on purpose. She thanked him and left the house. Getting into the car, she saw Wiktor locking up the cottage. She didn't understand why he still called it a cottage even though it deserved to be called a palace. She set off; the drive was fine even though her body was still burning. Wiktor was right. She looked like a cancer, she thought, looking in the mirror, and smiled. This weekend had gone quite well. Wiktor had been fine, and she couldn't fault him for anything. Besides, who could fault anyone who turned out to be a hero and saved you from spending the night in a forest full of wild boars? A terrible experience...

Days passed, Amelia wandered around, not knowing what to do with herself. When she was in the right mood to look for a place to shop, she did so, but without enthusiasm or patience. She searched online and in newspapers, but couldn't find anything suitable. Unable to cope with the household, she hired a housekeeper and a gardener, often visited her beautiful garden, and spent most of her time there. Daniel was away most of the day, so she waited for the evening when he would finally arrive. That day was special because she noticed a rather large brick building in the garden, overgrown with some climbing plant and invisible from a distance. The gardener assured her that it was definitely a stable for horses or other larger animals. Fascinated by this discovery, she dreamed of having her own horse. When she was little, she had a pony and loved riding it. However, after much resistance, her parents agreed to the purchase. And for her lessons. Now that she was pregnant, she wouldn't be able to afford such a pleasure, but after the birth, she would be able to ride it in the nearby areas. She was very happy just having a horse. She also decided to give Daniel such a pet as a gift – she smiled to herself and continued dreaming. They would be able to go on trips together, and when her child was older, she would take him with her. The voice of the housekeeper snapped her out of her reverie. She was a middle-aged woman whose entire family had died in a car accident. Amelia was looking for someone with no strings attached who would willingly agree to live with her. The woman took one of the rooms upstairs, and Amelia felt much safer with Daniel and the housekeeper with her.
"Excuse me
." "Yes, I'm sorry?"
-A man came to see you, he said it was really urgent, I didn't let him in because you didn't allow strangers to come in. -You
did very well, she praised her, then got up from the bench under the vines. -Where is he?
-In the driveway in front of the house.
-Tell him I'll be there soon
. -Okay, can I leave now?
"Yes, please." Amelia was surprised by the way the woman addressed her, but she also didn't want to give her any freedom because she might regret it later. She put on the sweater that was folded on the bench next to the girl and headed towards the front door. When she got out of the house, she saw an unfamiliar man sitting in a BMW.
"Are you sure you came to see me? I don't think we know each other." She began the conversation hesitantly, but he quickly jumped up from his seat and stood in front of her
. "Is that you? Oh my God, I didn't know it was you, it was so dark back then. I certainly wouldn't have acted like a bastard."
"Excuse me?" Amelia stared in surprise at the stranger, whose face didn't seem unfamiliar. She had probably seen it somewhere before. "Who are you? And what do you expect from me?" Amelia couldn't hide her surprise, and actually, perhaps a little amusement, because as soon as the man noticed her, he tried to apologize for something, something she had no idea about and probably wasn't involved in, though? Well, yes, it's the guy from the church, she remembers him staring at her. At the time, she thought he looked strange and didn't understand why his gaze had drawn her.
"Do you live anywhere near here? I think I saw you in church, is that possible?"
"Yes, yes, I noticed you too, you stand out from the crowd
." "Okay, but what did you come for?"
"I, well, I brought you your dog. He misses you so much, won't eat, and would most likely die. Why do I need him dead? At least you can have some fun with him." With that, he walked over to the car, opened the back door, and pulled out the dog wrapped in a blanket. Sara must have really lost a lot of weight if he carried her so effortlessly. "
Do you still want her?"
"Are you kidding?" "Of course I do, what a question, I grew up with that dog." "
Where should I take him?"
"Please, follow me." She showed him the way with her hand, then set off, and he followed in her footsteps. Sara's basket was in the living room, right next to the entrance to the terrace. The man had placed it there, and Amelie was surprised that Sara, despite missing her owner so much, didn't get up and greet her, didn't even wag her tail. She decided to quickly get rid of the stranger from the house and take care of the dog. "
Thank you very much for giving her back to me." "You
're welcome, really, I didn't know you were the owner. If it had been clearer then and I had recognized you, maybe it wouldn't have gone this far. I don't know if she'll survive, she's in terrible shape, really." The girl paled. "How can you not know if she'll survive? After all, she has to live.
" "Would it really change things if you saw me?" "Of course not." It doesn't matter if you wanted the saree and didn't want to give her back, it doesn't matter who her previous owner was," she said sharply. "
It would have changed everything," he said sadly, and headed towards the front door, where the housekeeper had escorted him.
Amelia ran to the dog and unwrapped the blanket...
She quickly ran to the dog and uncovered the blanket it was covered with. The sight was pitiful, and Amelia's heart sank at what the poor dog must have been going through.
"Sarunio, dear dog, please don't die." Amelia stroked it every now and then, touching the protruding bones covered only by delicate skin.
"Mrs. Dorota! Please come to me, but quickly!" she shouted to the housekeeper, who was by her side in the blink of an eye.
"I'm listening, what happened?"
"Please call the vet quickly and tell him to come to our address. You'll find her number in my notebook, which is on that little shelf next to the phone." "
Okay, I'll call now." She left, and the girl cuddled up to the dog. With what seemed like the last of her strength, he lifted his head, licked her hand, and then quickly fell back onto her, hugging her. Half an hour later, the vet arrived and examined Sarah.
"She won't die, please don't worry about it. As you said, she hasn't been fed for a long time and these are the effects. However, I'll give her a treat right away and it will be over. If the patient just wants to eat, we won't have a problem." Amelia was happy and watched with joy as the vet performed the treat and then prescribed some medicine that would surely help Sara.
"Thank you very much, I don't know what I would do if she died," she said, walking the man to the door.
"Please don't worry anymore, she'll be fine, just follow what I said.
" "Yes, I definitely will, don't worry." "
Great, I'll come back in a few days for a checkup, see you later." He waved and left.
Amelia took care of her as best she could, she followed what the doctor told her, and indeed, it was already visible by evening that Sara was feeling much better. She wasn't walking. Although she was still on her own, her eyes were shining brighter and she could already wag her tail and show joy. When Daniel returned from college, he couldn't get enough of seeing her, and I think the feeling was mutual.
"It's so wonderful that Sara is home, isn't it?" he asked as they sat near her in the living room.
"Of course."
"I see you're very happy, me too. I missed Sara too. She's special, and it felt so strange here when she disappeared." "
That's true, you know, I had a great idea today.
" "Yes, well, I'm listening, tell me." "
When I was walking around the garden until noon, imagine I found an old stable where horses were kept. I'll hire someone to clean the building and buy the horses." "
A wonderful idea, but how is it possible that we haven't seen this building before? Sure, the stable isn't microscopic.
" "Yes, I know that, but this building is completely covered in vines. It looks really fantastic, but I think we'll have to at least remove some of the windows to let the light in." "
You're right, really." Great idea with these horses, I used to ride them when I was younger, I had a horse named Kometa, great
- now you can have a Kometa too, it's up to you what it's called, I want to buy the animals this week, do you think they'll manage to finish the building?
"Tomorrow is Thursday, I'm not sure, you're going to Łódź on Friday evening, so we have two days. Maybe the gardener will agree to fix it up, and if not, I'm sure someone from nearby will want to earn some money. After all, it's summer vacation." "You're
right, that's a great idea," she said happily. "Tomorrow morning, when I go to the store, I'll ask if that woman, you know, that gossip, hasn't heard of anyone looking for part-time work. And if we don't succeed, we'll definitely
buy horses next week, right?"
"Of course, I can't wait," he said excitedly, and they both started laughing. Just as they'd planned in the evening, Amelia, as soon as she got up, went to the store and asked the saleswoman if she'd heard of anyone willing to work. "
There are a few people here who would definitely help you," she heard. "If you want, I'll send someone in a few days.
But it can't be in a few days, it has to be today. If no one shows up by eleven, then don't come after that. I'll hire professionals. I'll definitely find someone. I need someone today, and no one can change that." With that, she took her shopping and left. She couldn't believe that with such high unemployment, there wouldn't be anyone to take care of her building. After all, she wasn't going to cheat anyone, and she would definitely pay a lot if someone actually showed up before Friday, so she could take the animals there. She was starting to feel bad. see....
56
When she got home, it turned out that Daniel had already gotten up and Mrs. Dorota was already preparing breakfast for him. -
Good morning everyone.
- Oh, are you up already? - he asked surprised and greeted her.
- Well, yes, I was at the store, so you won't have to anymore. - Having said that, she handed over the shopping bag. - I talked to the saleswoman, but it turned out that she didn't know much. She did promise to send someone, but in the next few days. After all, I need someone today.
- Well, yes,
- Has the gardener arrived yet?
"That's how it is at my place." "
I'll go and talk to him. Is there breakfast for me too?" she asked the housekeeper, and when she received confirmation with a nod, she went out into the garden. She crossed the path lined with climbing roses and made her way across the grass to the gardener's cottage. He didn't live there, as he had a family and returned to them after work, but he kept all his gardening equipment in the cottage. She knocked on the massive wooden door, which opened a moment later.
"Oh, good morning, I wasn't expecting such a guest. I would have tidied up if I had known.
" "It doesn't matter, I don't mind the mess. The most important thing is that you know where everything is; this room is at your disposal." "
Oh, yes, thank you. Do you have a problem I could help with?" he asked in a concerned voice.
"Yes, remember, yesterday I found a building where horses were most likely kept."
"Yes
," she said, "well, I'd also like to buy some horses since I have the opportunity, but I can't find anyone who would take care of it. I was thinking maybe you knew someone who would be willing, or maybe you could take care of it, for an additional fee, of course." She emphasized the last words and studied the gardener's facial expression.
"I don't know, I think I could take on this task, but I'll immediately point out that it might mean neglecting my beloved plants a bit," he said sadly. "I could also ask my son to help; then it would be done sooner. After all, two pairs of hands are better than one." "
Great, and what does your son do?"
"He's unemployed for now," he replied, confused.
"Well, that's great, he'll earn some money, but I was wondering if he had any professional experience .
" "Oh yes, he loves animals, he's a veterinarian."
"Really?" she exclaimed, delighted, feeling she had a brilliant idea. "Why didn't you tell me right away? After all, when I have animals, I'll need someone to care for them. Tell him he's already employed if he wants." "
What a question," he said happily, his face brightening as if the sun were shining and his wrinkles instantly vanished. "Could I use the phone to tell him to come?" "
Of course, but tell me what you need, and I'll go to the store in the meantime
." "Of course," he said, opening the door, and they left, heading home. The man listed everything they'd need, and she wrote it down and set off with Daniel for the shopping.
When they had bought everything and returned, the gardener's car was parked in front of the house; her son had surely arrived and was eager to get to work. She felt sorry for the young people who had finished their studies and couldn't find work. It was awful, they were starting to wander around the world, not knowing what to do with themselves and with no money. She was happy that she could help this one-in-a-million person. They gave the gardener all the tools and supplies, and only then did Amelia sit down to breakfast, which Mrs. Dorota had prepared for her. The day passed quickly; she tried to help the gardener and his son as much as she could, who was truly grateful and worked like two men. It was obvious he was very happy, just like his father, that he had finally found a job. Everything was going smoothly. Another man came from the shop, so the team was already quite large, and whatever they started, they finished immediately. First, they cleaned the stables. Then, they leveled the ground and waited for it to dry. The gardener cut back the weeds that had wrapped their arms around the entire building. Once it was completely uncovered, they repainted it beige, matching the color of the house, which was also painted beige. After a full day, the stables were painted inside and out, and the tiles were already laid in the horses' stalls, looking wonderful. They still had to replace the windows, which could stay for now. The next day, they had to finish laying the tiles in the slower areas and fence off a small paddock that was to be located nearby. Their stables. In the next few days, the roof tiles, windows, and doors would also be replaced. Amelia was completely satisfied with what they had achieved today; her dream would come true and she would be able to go for her horses tomorrow...
57
Amelia woke up feeling warm on her cheeks. She lightly rubbed her face with her hands and began her daily stretching. She didn't want to get up, she felt so good, but unfortunately, she had to, although why such a tragedy? She was about to go for her horses. On the outskirts of Krakow, there was a stud farm, and Amelia had already inquired yesterday if it was possible to buy one. It turned out they had over 40 horses to choose from, which was a lot, and she and her brother would surely choose something for themselves. She got up lazily. She smoothed her hair, which must have been a complete mess, went to the mirror, and before her eyes appeared a terrible monster, like something from a horror movie. She ran her fingers through her hair again. She hid them behind her ear. She examined her figure. It wasn't obvious she was pregnant yet. She hadn't noticed any change in her appearance yet, except for her breasts, which were growing, embarrassing her more and more. She headed for the bathroom and took a quick, refreshing shower. When she went downstairs for breakfast, she noticed Daniel directing the men who had brought the windows to the stables, followed by others entering the fence with doors. "They'll be replacing them today," she said happily, and went into the kitchen. "
Good morning. "
"Good morning, Miss, Mr. Daniel will be happy that you're up. He keeps coming over to me and asking if I've prepared breakfast and if you've eaten yet." Amelia was in a pretty good mood, but when she heard the word "Miss" several times in one sentence, she couldn't stand it anymore. It irritated her so
much. "Mrs. Dorota, can we call each other by your name?" I know you're much older than me, and I shouldn't suggest it, but it simply bothers me how we address each other so formally. We live under the same roof and spend almost all our time together, yet we speak as if to someone we'd just met on the street for the first time. "
But of course, it doesn't bother me. I didn't want to offend you, but if that's your wish, I'll comply.
" "Okay, then, Amelia." She shook the woman's hand, and she nodded. "Dorota, the
housekeeper
, quickly served her breakfast, which was already ready. When she ate it, Daniel ran into the dining room.
"I see you've finished, fantastic. Listen, almost all the windows are replaced. I don't know how they do it, but they're doing it in no time. The doors are already replaced and they look fantastic. Our workers have already finished installing the tiles and paving stones in front of the stable. Now they're starting to remove the roof tiles, and I think it'll be finished when we get back. The sheet metal supplier called and said they'll be there in half an hour. I think you can leave the money for it with Mrs. Dorota, and in the meantime, we can go to the stud farm. My friend brought a horse trailer this morning. It only holds two, but I think once we choose them, it won't be a problem; we can make two trips. "Great,
" she said, surprised that everyone was getting everything done so quickly. "What about the roof crew? When can they start installing the roof?"
There are four of them, they said it was a very small roof and that they could finish it in no more than four hours. Cutting the sheet metal would take the longest, but there were a few of them, so it should go quickly
. Perfect, I'll grab a few things from upstairs and we'll be on our way soon. Oh, and Dorota's money, I'll be right back. She quickly climbed the stairs and a moment later she was back on the ground floor. As agreed, they left the money with the housekeeper, and a few minutes later, both of them were excitedly driving from the parking lot by the house to the stud farm. The trailer was already attached to the car, so they didn't have to waste time. The journey seemed incredibly long, even though it only took fifteen minutes. Amelia saw that her brother was already barely able to sit up and would gladly run to get there faster. He was behaving like a little five-year-old boy who had been promised a trip to the zoo. As they pulled into the stud farm driveway, they were both They got out of the car as quickly as they could, pretending they were not in a hurry. The owner greeted them warmly and led them to the room where the animals were kept.
"Look how beautiful this one is." Amelia stopped dead in her tracks and watched the horse run around the paddock. It was all white, well-groomed, and looked like snow, so beautiful. Amelia couldn't stop praising it. "
I'm sorry, but there's only one of this kind." "But
I only need one, Daniel wants another. " "
I'm sorry, but this one already belongs to a certain gentleman, we're just keeping it here." "
What bad luck." She entered the stable with a sour expression. "This one is really beautiful, and I'd like one just like it." "We have
something similar, it certainly won't impress you after seeing Mrs. Karla, but it's an equally young and healthy horse." "
Please show it to me.
" "This is it," said the owner, and Amelia saw a horse just as white as the other, but with a gray mane.
"Well, what can I say, it's beautiful too, aren't there any other white ones?"
"No, this one is the last one.
Please show me his booklet," she said, and he reached into the room and pulled out the booklet, handing it to her
. "Amelia!" Quickly, how beautiful this horse is, so lovely, it simply has to be mine...
58
They bought horses, Amelia the white one with a gray mane and tail, and Daniel the black one. He didn't have even a single small spot of a different color. He was simply perfect, just like Karla, but the other horse belonged to someone else. By the way, she was curious who owned that horse. Maybe he would be tempted to sell it. She couldn't believe what she was thinking. If she had owned such an animal, she wouldn't have given it up for any price. When they returned home with both horses, which, however, could fit in at once, it turned out that the stable was already ready. They didn't even realize they had spent over three hours at the stud farm. Plus the journey back took much longer. The sheet metal workers had finished and everything was already cleaned up. In short, everything was ready for the arrival of the animals. It was getting dark and Melia had to get ready for the journey. She didn't feel like it. She spent the last hour on a bench watching her beloved brother ride Lightning, as he called his horse. It was clear he was handling the animal well and that it listened to him. So she thought well and headed home. She needed to grab a few essentials and then she could set off. Dinner was long gone, so she popped into the kitchen where Dorota was and asked her to prepare a few sandwiches. After fifteen minutes, she went downstairs dressed in a comfortable navy blue tracksuit and a cap. Long black hair peeked out from the back of the cap, which she had tied in a ponytail for convenience. On her feet were black sneakers with Nike. She quickly put the sandwiches in her backpack and said goodbye to Dorota. She went to the living room and through the terrace door to the back of the house. She walked through the entire garden and when she reached the paddock, Daniel drove up to her. "
I'm on my way, I just wanted to say goodbye to you." Daniel jumped down from the lightning bolt and hugged her.
"I hope you have a nice weekend, try not to get into trouble like the last one
." "Okay," she said sadly, "see you Monday." She kissed him and headed towards the car. She was driving well, as usual, but this time the drive seemed to drag on. She wanted to be there and be able to rest after the last few days. She had to admit that she was overcoming herself to some extent. Last week she had driven to Łódź with obvious reluctance, but today she knew it wouldn't be so bad and that Wiktor would always treat her well. When she reached the city, she headed through the streets towards her grandmother's house, but she passed it and drove a little further, to the garage, which was a hundred meters away. The owner she had spoken to had sent her the key by mail, so she didn't have to wait until tomorrow. She closed the garage behind her and headed towards her grandmother's house. As she had expected, there was no No one. Grazynka would definitely come only tomorrow morning, and Wiktor wouldn't show up until then either. She ate the sandwiches Dorotka had prepared for her and went to bed. She didn't sleep for long, however, because she heard voices outside the building, which woke her up. She was terrified that they were hooligans and slowly approached the window to check. She slightly peeked her head out the open window and saw Wiktor's car parked in the parking lot. She had no idea who he was arguing with, but she didn't think it could be Grazynka. He certainly wouldn't allow himself to use that tone with someone much older than him. "
Will you finally stop whining? You didn't have to come here. You know perfectly well I didn't ask you to. You know I didn't want you to come with me, so since you forced yourself in anyway, be so kind and spare me the comments like, 'This house is disgusting and you're uncomfortable.'" "It'll sleep in it. You wanted us to come here today. We could have come tomorrow morning, but of course you insisted on it." She heard Wiktor's angry voice. However, she still couldn't understand who he was with.
"I'm so sorry, but I didn't realize this was such a terrible place," Justyna squealed, and Amelia felt faint. "What is she doing here? Wiktor shouldn't have brought her here, not when I'm here. God, why is he hurting me like this?
" "Amelia doesn't mind!" she heard him hiss and must have approached the door because she heard the sound of the lock being unlocked. The voices then moved inside the house, and Amelia clearly heard every word, as this wasn't a friendly conversation; they were shouting at each other.
"Amelia and Amelia, it's always her, can you even talk about anyone else? I've had enough of this, you know what I'll tell you? I'm so glad I came here now that she's here," she said, slamming the front door. Amelia sat on the bed and didn't know what to do. Why was this loudmouthed girl shouting in her grandmother's house so late at night and not letting her sleep, and what's more, she was shouting her name, insinuating that she had something in common with her own brother. What an idiot, I won't let myself be offended. She didn't think to put on a dressing gown and, in just her nightgown, she went out into the hallway, went to the railing of the stairs and saw them both standing downstairs, collecting suitcases that Justyna had probably brought here...
59
They started arguing again. She had had enough of this.
"Can you stop?" Both faces turned to " Amelka
? What are you doing here?"
"Amelka? How do you address her? And why don't you call me 'Justysia'?" the girl started to squeal. "
Shut up!" he shouted, not even looking at her as he continued to stare into her eyes.
"I'm here just like you are, I think I have the right, right?" "
Of course you do, what a stupid question," he said calmly, still staring at her
. "Of course you do, she had the right, she was hoping for one more night, I can't stand it any longer." "
Please, be quiet," she said sharply, adding, "But I'm not sure you have the right to be here."
"What do you mean I don't?" Justyna froze and stopped gesturing with her thin hands. Half the house belongs to my fiancé!
-Not yet, and there was a very important ban that no one except me and Wiktor can be here every weekend for the next six months.
-You **[beep...]**, do you think you're going to get rid of me? No way, go back to your room and stop bothering us with your chatter
. -You've got to be kidding, I'm in my own place, not you, and you won't insult me in my house.
-You're the one who interfered, not me, I was talking to Wiktor, and you, as if nothing had happened, started telling us what to do and what not to do!
"Yes, I'm sorry, because I must have misheard that you were shouting and not talking calmly, and that I heard my name at least three times, and now I'm sorry, but I have to ask you to leave this house." She went down the stairs, getting closer and closer to him. Her body reacted as she felt his eyes on her, he was constantly watching her. "I don't know what you're going to do with her now, but I won't bother coming here two or three days a week for nothing, because it will turn out that she had no right to be here and the house will be donated to a foundation.
"Won't you protect me?" Justyna started crying, clutching his hand. "Why are you standing there so still? Why won't you say anything?" she cried, still feeling that she was in dangerous territory.
-I forgot about that ban, you really have to leave this house
- I must have misheard! If I leave now, it will be the end of us, I won't watch you embarrass me and make me look like an idiot, do you think I don't see that you want to be left alone?
"Calm down, I can't help it, and this house means too much to me to lose. I won't leave here with you, and you can't stay here with me." "
So this is the end of us.
" "If that's what you want." Wiktor lowered his head, but his face was calm. "I won't stop you." "
You know perfectly well that I don't want this, but I see what's going on here, and you know what I'm talking about, and don't try to deny it
." "I'm not going to explain myself because only the guilty do that. If you're going to leave, tell me now and get out of here." "Yes, honey,
it's over. Bring me to Krakow, my brother will pick it up from you." She left, slamming the door. Amelia sat down on the stairs, feeling embarrassed because she felt guilty about the whole incident
. "I'm sorry, I didn't want it to turn out this way. I don't understand what she wanted from me, after all, I always tried." I tried to be nice to her, I really didn't want to, but she can't be here, Grazynka will come tomorrow and if she saw her, she would definitely write it down - she explained, starting to cry slowly.
"Don't worry, actually, thank you. I didn't want to bring her here, but he insisted. If I hadn't forgotten about that ban, I would have had the ferry off my back and spared you the trouble." "
Don't
worry about me." "How can I not worry about you? Forgive me for waking you up? She's very jealous of you, and I couldn't explain to her that there's nothing between us. She's been blaming you for all the failures in our relationship for a long time, and she was right, because I still love you, but I respect your choice, so I won't ask anything from you. I couldn't end this relationship, and she was getting deeper and deeper into it. She wanted to set the wedding date and all the other things related to that day, and I wasn't ready for that, not with her." She started crying. "I love you too, and I would love to tell you that so much and hug you." She couldn't stand the tension and ran up the stairs to her room...

Early in the morning, she dragged herself out of bed and went to the mirror. She looked terrible, her puffy eyes were the result of crying that had been tormenting her all night. She couldn't stop it, it was stronger, and she was relieved that it was already light and she could go out for some fresh air. However, a walk in the forest was out of the question. She quickly put on the same tracksuit as yesterday and went out into the hallway. She noticed Wiktor was just entering the house with Grazaynka, so she hid back in the room so they wouldn't notice her. She waited a moment and quietly slipped out into the yard. No one noticed her; she could hear Wiktor and the housekeeper talking. Wiktor wanted her to prepare breakfast for her, but she couldn't say it was unnecessary because she was leaving because it would give herself away. She didn't want to see him; she couldn't run away from him all day, but at least for part of it. She quickly walked down the road to the garage and once she was in the car, she breathed a sigh of relief. She took out a city map and checked the locations of the sights she had decided to visit while here. From what she had heard, there were plenty of palaces here, as well as museums worth visiting. She set off and soon found herself at the first manor house to visit. However, it turned out that all of them were only open from ten o'clock, and some even only in the afternoon. In that case, she had nothing to do here. It was only eight in the morning and not even the shops were open for her to wander around. So she returned after less than two hours, quickly getting bored with driving around the city. She entered the house and smelled the pleasant smell of some kind of food.
"Amelia?" Wiktor asked, surprised. "Where have you been?" Grazyna and I were worried. I knocked on your door, but no one answered. When I entered, I noticed you weren't there. "You came in.
" "Come to my room?" she asked, indignant. "You've got to be joking. Who gave you permission to do this? Don't ever do that again, do you understand?"
"Good morning, Amelia, I'm so glad to see you. Wiktor told me you're here yesterday. I'm so glad you wanted to be here earlier. Great, breakfast is waiting for you," Grazynka said happily, relieving the tension.
"Thank you, I'm happy too. I went for a drive this morning. I thought maybe a museum would be open or one of those wonderful palaces, but unfortunately, they don't open
until later. You wouldn't find anything this early in the morning."
I just found out.
"Where did you leave your car?" Wiktor asked, butting in on the conversation
. "I rented a garage nearby, so I keep it there.
" "Really? I didn't think of that either. I'll rent one myself. Do you know if there are any available ones?"
-I have no idea - she said, swallowing another spoonful of milk with cereal
-I have to ask then
"How did you sleep?" Grazynka asked, entering the dining room with a portion of sandwiches. "Here, Wiktor, eat some more, you look rather miserable." Amelia looked at him and noticed that he didn't look his best. He had just as big dark circles under his eyes as she did. Maybe he didn't sleep last night either? It didn't matter, it shouldn't concern her. She finished her breakfast and took the plates to the kitchen. When she entered the room, she slumped in the armchair and wondered what she should do. The weather wasn't great, so she definitely wouldn't be sunbathing, and after the way it ended last time, she wasn't really in the mood for it. She went to her backpack and took out her laptop. She had noticed the last time she was here that she had a phone in her room, so she decided to connect to the internet. She quickly connected the cables and in a moment, her Gadu-Gadu account was up and running. The list quickly appeared, and she noticed that Daniel is on it.
- Hi, little brother - she wrote.
- Amelka? -
So you managed to connect after all?
- Yes, as you can see - What are you doing? - I was in town, but it turned out all the museums are closed, so maybe I'll go later, and what are you doing? - I'm going to the pony club right now. I rode yours yesterday too, I'll tell you, he has a temper - just be careful - calm down, bye - Daniel? - I'm listening? - Justyna was here yesterday - Justyna? Why was she there? - Did she come with Wiktor - And has she already left ? - Daniel, I kicked her out and she broke up with him because of me - What did you do? How could you kick her out? "She just came in and started yelling at me, so I kicked her out. I said the will forbade Wiktor and me from staying at home. " "Oh, but you know what, I don't know if Grazyna can stay there too. " Wiktor asked a lawyer and he said it's possible, and even better, since she's supposed to be the one overseeing everything. "Amelka, I'm almost done. I'm going to the horse show, kisses for you ." "Bye, say hello to everyone there from me." She turned off the computer and didn't know what to do next. "I think I'll go for a walk." She put on her hat, grabbed her backpack, and set off. When she got out into the yard, she noticed Wiktor's car was gone. He must have gone to ask about the garage. She walked through the neighborhood streets and then emerged onto the main road leading to the city center...
