Welcome today to the world of fairy tales,
where there will be no shortage of strife.
Who will solve this riddle?
Who brings peace?
Welcome to the magical land,
flowing in milk and wine.
But beware, look here,
for a swarm of wonders will attack you!
Do you believe in fairy tales? I didn't believe them either, but once I met a bard and listened to an interesting story: here it is, presented in my own way, but nothing has changed.
Once upon a time, in the world of fairy tales, called Krista, disputes raged. Which race was the most important? Or the wise old elves? To this, however, the fairies shouted back that the pointy-eared elves were selfish, while they were beautiful and magical... However, the dwarves replied that beauty doesn't mean cunning... The gnomes didn't lag behind and voiced their opinions, and goblins, along with trolls, responded. Dwarfs and imps argued over red caps, and magical creatures told their own stories. In all this chaos, not a single creature spoke. He himself remained of his own clan, but he was wise and offered advice to others. The Sphinx sat and covered his ears.
"Silence!" he said. "We will be judged by someone whose heart is pure from ruin and will weigh not on words, but on truth.
" "Who is that?" the dwarf shouted. "Where will we find such a person?
" "There," the Sphinx replied calmly, pointing to the sky.
"In the world of humans, dangerous creatures?" the elf asked.
"After all, we are the creation of humans, our lives dependent on them. They must remember. I will bring a good and wise man, he will judge our disputes."
For a long time, the Sphinx was gone, and this greatly worried Kristy's inhabitants. They were about to set off in search of the creature when a human child appeared in the sky. On its back sat a human child. Everyone on earth was already waiting for the man to come and seat the most important on the throne. The human creature dismounted and stood on his feet. Suddenly the sphinx began:
"This is a man with a flawless heart, we will trust his judgment. We will praise and celebrate the chosen one. We will not oppose him." Here he paused and looked at the boy. "Do you already know which race is greater than the others?
" "Not yet," the boy said, his voice melodious. "I must get to know you, then I will make a decision. It will not be hasty, nor will it be reversed. I will speak as the Lord tells me, and my heart, supposedly pure, will indicate."
In this way, the man wandered through Christ's world. He learned about each race individually, asked many questions, and became acquainted with its history.
First, he visited the elves. They taught him the meaning of magic and beauty. They told him they were the oldest race and guided him, claiming they deserved the title. However, they treated others with contempt, and the human boy didn't believe them. Then he went to the dwarves; they were resourceful and sneered at the truth. The human didn't spare laughter, but a king should be distinguished by his dignity, not by the wine he drank. More fairies praised him, showered him with magic dust, and played harps. They showed him interesting nooks and crannies of the forest and spoke of their beauty. The boy didn't like this; he didn't give them the scepter. The dwarves later saw him. They showed him his talents and flaws, said they didn't seek quarrels; that was unheard of in this world of fairy tales. They bowed before the human, took off their red caps, and lavished praise, but suddenly an imp came to visit. He wore a blood-colored cap, and all the dwarves suddenly pounced on him. In the confusion, the boy emerged and went to the gnomes. There were plenty of inventions there, the creatures taught and showed. So much time passed, but people must eat. The gnomes invited him into the kitchen and served them a meal. At the sight of the food, the boy screamed and angrily ran out. How can rulers not know how to cook? What's that? No! He paid a visit to the goblins. They cunningly persuaded him, but he could hardly resist, but the race was bound to make a mistake. The boy wasn't allowed to choose them. He had visited many races, but none were fit to be ruler. He watched, listened, and admired them. Each had its flaws. Finally, he went to the sphinx to examine him as well.
After this visit, all the races met again and waited for an important decision.
"I walked for a long time and was very tired, but I have made my decision. Know my judgment." Each race is not fit for a king, but for a jester," he said sternly. "But there was one who didn't fail the test, one who would become ruler. This sphinx demonstrated wisdom and knowledge, as well as good breeding. He will rule forever. That's my opinion, and you swore to listen to my thoughts."
Thus, the old sphinx took his place. From the beginning, he ruled well, giving advice and counsel. He took an interest in Krista's affairs. He reconciled the subject races and brought order. However, over time, he began to grow bored. There was nothing to do, so he fell asleep. Soon, the state maintained order. It faltered and faltered. Wars and squabbles between the inhabitants revived. However, the sphinx, still sleeping. When the boy learned of this, he immediately returned to the land. First, he woke the sphinx, then removed it from office. But suddenly, a new ruler was expected. The human boy began to visit the races again. He found no ruler. He immediately went to the sphinx and asked it,
"Why didn't you rule the state?
" "Sphinxes are like that; they like to sleep. That's their nature. I'm not to blame. I'm sorry I disappointed you, but that's how we are. Just like fairies, self-absorbed, elves, disregarding others, and sphinxes are sleepyheads."
Suddenly, the man understood what he couldn't understand. He called the people of Krista to a meeting once again and said to them:
"I was mistaken, I judged wrongly. My judgment became false because I was mistaken. However, I understood, and I wanted to share the truth. You are all equal, with your flaws, your virtues, your quarrels, and your peaces. Each of you, separately and together, will rule this land now and forever.
And so it was. The races of Krista rule their land forever, and nothing disturbs the order. So let us, people, end our quarrels and walk the straight path. Where unrest does not hinder us, and only truth guides us.
