Sometimes cats come back
When our relatives' aunt died, her cat was left behind. They couldn't throw the animal away, so they gave it to the deceased's close relative, her nephew. They sold the aunt's apartment and moved some of the furniture, including the ottoman she slept on, into their home.
The nephew's family was young—their daughter was only four years old. She was very happy with the cat and started playing with it. At first, the cat tolerated it, but eventually, it learned to scratch and ran off to sleep on the deceased's ottoman. The parents, understandably, scolded the girl, teaching her to respect animals. Then the girl developed an allergy—eczema on her hands. They took her to the doctor, and it turned out to be giardia, caused by the cat. The angry nephew took the cat with him, saying he was taking her to the countryside to visit relatives.
A week later, at three o'clock in the morning, the mother heard a distinctive scratching sound outside the door. She thought the bastard cat had escaped and returned. She opened the apartment door, and the cat immediately scratched her leg with its claws. She recoiled, and the cat jumped onto the ottoman, which immediately began to burn. The room became a complete mess—vases and dishes were thrown out of place, all accompanied by cat howls. When her nephew came out of the bedroom, the cat immediately jumped on his chest and began tearing at his shirt. He shook it off and ran to turn on the light—but the cat was gone.
