Not only the spirits of people and animals circulate the world, but also the peculiar apparitions of objects! One of the grimest specters in this category is certainly the terrible carriage Lady Mary Howard, seen on the old King's Way, among the swamps between Tavistock and Okehampton in County Devon. The pale apparition of Lady Howard, the daughter of a landowner in the 17th century, Sir John Fritz of Fritzford, is imprisoned in the carriage. The vehicle is made of the skulls and bones of Mary's four husbands who reportedly died at her hand. He is drawn by the skeleton of a ghost dog.

In the evening of June 28, 1944, around 9:45 PM, David Hanchet returned home by bicycle. When he reached the Bell Lane intersection in Enfield Old Town, in the north suburbs of London, he saw on the left a tall black box-shaped carriage with a coachman and two black horses emerging from the hedge surrounding the gardens. In the silent silence, surrounded by a blue glow, the ghost of the vehicle rushed along the hedge, its wheels hovering thirty centimeters above the ground. After a while, it disappeared into the depths of the old workshop. Woźnica had a tall black top hat and a long whip. Several people were sitting in the carriage. A little boy riding a bicycle also saw a terrible apparition and fled in panic. Many other people have also seen the peculiar spectral vehicle traversing Bell Lane. Legend has it that the carriage travels with the spirit of Judge George Jeffreys, the loyal servant of James II, famous for his cruelty.

In 1936, the apparition of a modern means of transport was often seen - the number 7 double-decker bus! A bright red illuminated vehicle without passengers, driver or conductor rushed at midnight St. Mark's Road in Kensington. Many drivers on this route panicked to avoid colliding with the bus. The ghost ceased to be an attraction when one of the drivers, upset by his appearance, made a sharp turn of the steering wheel, `hit the wall and died on the spot. Shortly after this event, the wall was pulled down and the road widened to increase driving safety. From then on, no one had ever seen a peculiar apparition.

There are also reports of the appearance of the Spitfire spectrum at Biggin Hill airport in the south suburbs of London, and the Wellington bomber, which floats in Dyfed over the Towy Valley, between Llandeilo and Llandovery, where test aircraft flew during World War II.

The strangest phenomena are certainly road accidents in which the means of transport is real; the victim is a ghost! On a rainy evening on November 2, 1981, Andrew Cutajar was taking the A 12 road to Great Yarmouth. Not far away, Hopton noticed a cloud of gray fog in the middle of the road. When he approached him, the cloud took the form of a tall man with luxuriant hair, dressed in a long cape or coat and old-fashioned lace-up shoes. The figure did not move, so Cutajar had to brake; to avoid a collision. The car skidded, invaded the man and drove from the other side of his immaterial body! the apparition quickly disappeared. The car hit a grassy roadside, and his driver was not injured. Later it turned out that this section of the road often saw a ghost that "fell victim" to drivers. It can be assumed that the unfortunate man from ancient times had no idea about modern traffic!
