Observations of the Spirits of Goetia

In "Goecja," translated by Dariusz Misiuna, readers will discover the secrets of summoning spirits and their hierarchy. The author cites the teachings of Solomon, pointing out that choosing the right day of the lunar month and making a seal in the metals corresponding to the individual spirits are crucial. The book also discusses the rules regarding the times and places in which the various ranks of spirits can be summoned, which may be of interest to both occult enthusiasts and researchers of the history of magic.

Above all, it's important to remember to invoke the spirits at the proper time. Solomon says that the best days for this purpose are the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, or 14th of the lunar month. The other days will not be beneficial. Furthermore, the seals of these spirits must be made in metals. Each office is assigned a different metal. For this reason, royal seals are made in the Sun (gold), the domain of marquises is the Moon (silver), princes - Venus (copper), prelates - Jupiter (tin), knights - Saturn (lead), leaders - Mercury (mercury), counts - Venus (copper) and the Moon (silver), mixed in equal proportions, etc.

All the spirits mentioned here are under the control of AMAYMON, KORSON, ZIMIMAY (ZIMINIAR), and GOAP, the Four Great Kings who rule the four cardinal directions: east, west, north, and south. They must not be summoned under any circumstances unless there is a particularly important occasion. In such cases, they must be compelled to send their proxies, according to the invocations and spells given below. The proper times for summoning kings are between nine in the morning and noon, and from three in the afternoon until dusk. Marquises should be summoned from three in the afternoon to nine in the evening, and from nine in the evening until dawn. Princes may be summoned in fair weather, from dawn until noon. Prelates are ready to appear at any time. Knights appear only at dawn and from four in the afternoon until dusk. Leaders can be summoned at any time of day. However, no one but their own king can draw them out of their hiding place once darkness falls. Earls pose the least trouble, as they can be summoned at any time of day. Suitable places for this are forests, desolate areas undisturbed by any foreign sounds, and so on.

This is a fragment of the book Goecja , translated by Dariusz Misiuna, which will be published by FOX Publishing House any day now.
