Huna Magic

Huna magic is an ancient Polynesian practice that evolved into a psychoreligious system combining elements of spirituality and psychology. Although its origins remain unknown, traditions and legends related to Huna are passed down orally. A key element of this practice is the division of the human being into three "selves": low, middle, and high, which correspond to different states of mind. Kahuna practitioners of Huna believe that the energy of mana, which permeates all beings, is essential for health and harmony in life.

Huna magic is an ancient Polynesian practice that has evolved into a psychoreligious system. Many legends survive in oral tradition, but the true origins of this system are unknown.

Huna believes that each person can be divided into three "selves": low, middle, and high. These parts correspond, roughly, to our subconscious, conscious, and superconscious minds. By embodying the energy of mana , spiritual awareness of the self can be heightened.

According to the Kahunas (physicians who practice Huna), all creatures—mortals, gods, and all of nature—are guided by mana . Religion is concerned with controlling and directing mana , multiplying what is most needed and protecting man from threats. Mana energy came through divine ancestors and reaches all beings descended from them. The Polynesian chief is believed to be a man sent by the gods and therefore endowed with Great Mana .
