Mother Meera

ADILAKSHMI: A mother has true compassion, and true compassion is not sentimental. She knows that if she reinforces our illusions, she will keep us in the fires of ignorance. Not knowing the true nature of Love, we settle for only a substitute. True Love is stronger and more subtle.

When the Mother is in the body, she wishes to be completely with the Paramatman. This makes a great difference for her between when she is in the body and when she is with the Paramatman.

Open to the Light

Question: If someone asks you for help, you simply give it. How exactly is this help provided?

Mother Meera: There are different kinds of Light for different purposes. I send the Light that is needed at the time.

Question: What type of Light exists and what are its characteristics?

Mother Meera: Paramatmana is characterized by golden and white light. It is the most important. The others belong to Avatars and gods. Durga is distinguished by red light. Her characteristic is dominion. Blue light symbolizes knowledge and love—it belongs to Krishna. Purple is associated with bodily health. Green signifies life force, referring to the material world. Orange is the color of sacrifice, the color of sannyasis (monks).

Question: When are we most susceptible to Your Light?

Mother Meera: When the spirit is calm, if it is thrashing within itself, it is difficult to experience what I give. My help is independent of internal states. However, anxiety prevents it from being experienced consciously.

Question: How do we absorb the Light and how do we experience it?

Mother Meera: It is perceived in different ways. For some, it happens through the head, for others, through the fingers. However, this is not important. The most important thing is the effect: a clear, special lightness, joy, and peace. Sometimes the supramental Light can cause a slight burning sensation. However, it never causes pain. This Light can be experienced anytime and anywhere. Now that you know this, open yourself to it, for time is precious.

Question: At what stage of spiritual development can one see the Paramatman Light directly?

Mother Meera: I cannot say at what stage you will see them. It depends on the strength of your desire and how advanced you are in your sadhana (spiritual exercises). The goal of humanity is to first see the Light of the Paramatman and then merge in It.
