A sad figure sits in a dark room. Suddenly, he jumps up, goes to the window, and jumps. He falls from the third floor onto the concrete stairs. Death instantly.
What drove him to suicide? Could his reasons justify this act?
It was a man, or rather, a boy. He was 18, but looked about 15. He enjoyed sports, especially running. He was tall, 189 centimeters. His green eyes and their dark rims gave him a certain charm. From what I can tell, he was dark blond. His name was Adam.
He had been through a lot in his life. His story can be terrifying. Sometimes it seems like a romance with a happy ending, and sometimes like a horror movie from your darkest nightmare.
If, dear reader, you have the desire and courage to read this, I invite you to enter his world. All the situations described here are real. They concern one small, gray creature, no different from you.
On September 1st, Adam excitedly awaited his first day at his new school. Now he was a high school student. He set off for his new high school with great pride. As he rode the bus, he pondered what might await him. A million thoughts and a thousand questions raced through his mind.
He tried to concentrate. But nerves prevented him from doing so. This made him feel like an abandoned puppy. For a tactician, a scientific mind, concentration is life. Without it, it's existence. Adam was quite a good strategist. He enjoyed special operations.
The minutes dragged. Finally, he reached his destination. He confidently entered the new school building and headed to the classroom where the principal was about to begin the new school year. There, he also met his new class.
A biology and chemistry major. This was his class—33 students, and only five boys. At first, Adam was delighted. He believed that the greatest friendships were formed between a boy and a girl. That's why the classroom situation suited him.
He carefully examined the faces of his new classmates. He immediately noticed that they were quite pretty. At his previous school, everyone looked like witches from his worst nightmare.
He hadn't had time to meet anyone yet because he had to go into the classroom. The school year began with the traditional assembly. First, of course, we sang the national and school anthems. The classes dispersed to their rooms.
On the way there, he met a boy. His name was Paweł. They entered the classroom. They started chatting. Their conversation was interrupted by the new teacher, who introduced herself and said a few words of introduction.
The next week was an integration trip. Adam reacted enthusiastically to these words. Well, he loved trips.
After returning home, he told his parents everything. Then he ran off to his girlfriend. Their relationship had lasted two years, ever since Adam asked her to be his Valentine. They were happy together. They had been seeing each other almost every day for over a year and had never argued. That was already a success.
A few days passed. Adam had already met most of the class. He told his girlfriend everything so she wouldn't have any reason to be jealous. He also checked in on her.
The day before the trip, Adam was already packed and full of optimism. He went out to play soccer with his friends. During the game, unfortunately, the ball bounced over a bump when Adam tried to stop it. He stepped on it. His leg flew forward. Suddenly, something cracked. He was still standing, but with a limp. He waited a moment and looked at his ankle, which was twice the size allowed by law. It didn't hurt yet. The diagnosis was a simple sprain.
He returned home. His leg was worse. It was a good thing he didn't like ankle boots, because they would have had to be cut open. He went to the hospital. The doctor ordered a cast. The ankle was almost torn. Adam was given three days off from school. That was the length of the school trip.
The class returned, and the next day everyone met at school. The boy trudged to the locker room on crutches. There, a kind face offered him help. He looked into her blue eyes and thought for a moment.
"What's your name, poor thing?" she asked
. "Adam. And yours?" A look of delight filled his eyes as he uttered the words.
"Weronika. I'll help you with your things. Unless you don't want me to?" she asked.
Adam could only think one thing: I'm in heaven, an angel standing before me. Her large, blue eyes immediately captivated him. Her pretty, round face with a beautiful little nose completed the effect.
Adam declined, saying he could manage. From that day on, he began spending most of his time with Weronika. His girlfriend at the time knew this. However, she thought it was just friendship. Adam had one thing he couldn't fault. He was always faithful to his promises. This made his love feel secure.
A friendship blossomed between Weronika and the limping Adam, stronger than anything in the world. They told each other everything. They grew very fond of each other.
Time passed quickly. St. Nicholas Day was approaching. At the end of November, Adam met his girlfriend. Here, he was met with an unpleasant surprise. He wanted to say hello to her. She told him right away that their relationship was over. She had found a better man and she didn't need him anymore. Adam broke down.
Immediately after this, they removed his cast. Sad and devastated, he rehabilitated himself. He kept thinking about what he would do next. After all, life has no meaning when we have no one to live for. That was his opinion.
Depression plagued him until St. Nicholas Day. After much thought and a deep soul-searching, he decided he was madly attracted to Weronika. He decided to tell her.
That day, they had a field trip to the biology institute. It was the perfect opportunity for him, as he knew the area very well. He was the only one in his class who knew how to get to the trams that would take Weronika home.
He led her through the park. There, he was about to tell her he was crazy about her and was shocked. He was just opening his mouth when Weronika overtook him.
"You know, I've noticed that I like you.
" "And you," Adam replied, surprised. "I have a question for you.
" "Namely?" she asked, curious. "Would you like to be with me?" he asked shyly.
"Stupid question. I told you I like you. Let's just say that by doing so, I'm saying I want to be with you, silly," Weronika said. There was obvious joy in her voice
. That's how Adam and Weronika's relationship began. Adam walked her to the tram. There, they said goodbye and each went home. Did a spark fly between them, and did they fall in love?
