Darshanas

Life in the Czech ashram begins at six in the morning – this is the exact time when the first guests line up for darshan. As they take their seats, the soft music playing from the speakers and the smell of smoldering Indian incense sticks ignite a festive atmosphere. At precisely seven, Mother Lasana, dressed in a long gown, enters the hall and begins darshan. She approaches the front row and, placing her hands on the heads of two darshan participants, transmits an incredibly powerful energy through them to the rest of the group.

Here is an excerpt from the account of one of the darshan participants:

The darshan took place in three parts. During the first part, she placed both hands on the heads of the participants; in the second, she gestured to the other participants; and in the third, she raised both hands and waved them slowly. The hall was very crowded. I counted around three hundred souls. The entire ceremony lasted three hours. Some knelt on their knees and approached the Mother, waiting for their darshan.

During darshans, Mother Lasana, together with the participants, sings, dances, and sometimes also performs wedding ceremonies, wrapping the hands of the young couples with a ribbon decorated with small roses and saying the magical words May only love guide you throughout your life .

Although there are many songs sung during darshan, everyone knows the lyrics. Most of the people are young, some have been coming here for over a year.

At the ashram, everything is carefully planned—the visitor is drawn into the rhythm of activities that allow them to feel the energy of Mother Lasana. This rhythm includes morning and evening darshan, ceremonial meals, and the chanting of mantras. In the afternoon, all darshan participants gather in a small tea room, known in Czech as a chajovnia, to listen to and sing songs about the divine love Mother Lasana bestows upon them.

The most persistent set their watches to 2 a.m. to chant the Om mantra along with others.

The time spent at Mother Lasana's ashram quickly draws to a close. Joyful people return home with smiles on their faces, quietly humming the lyrics of one of the songs: Mother Lasana, Love of Lasana.
