If you want to undergo Reiki initiation, read this article first
Despite its popularity, Reiki raises controversy and doubts about the effectiveness and ethics of practices related to this form of energy healing. The author of this article shares personal experiences that led her to critically examine Reiki initiation and its masters. She emphasizes the importance of thoroughly vetting potential teachers to avoid unpleasant situations that can impact mental and energetic health. She encourages reflection on one's own choices and the exploration of alternative healing methods.
I'll start with something a bit unusual for everyone. It's true that Reiki, as a topic in itself, is very slippery, and as it will probably turn out, uncertain. Well, every opinion is born from experience, right? Just as every opinion changes with acquired knowledge. So, there are many idealized images of Reiki as energy and as a healing method, which are not only very poor, but also often simply won't work, and that's it. There's no physical way for Reiki to take hold where it needs to. Energy, like any other, requires direction, and it's not gold and white, as Reiki proponents claim, but purple. I'm using the help of a clairvoyant here, who, in my opinion, has a truly high regard. Why am I so negative about Reiki? Because, frankly, I'm an opponent. Ironically, I've gotten off on one step. And that's where the difficulties begin.
I learned about Reiki when I was looking for someone to help me overcome a blockage. I don't think it's worth mentioning the specifics, but it was strong enough that I couldn't overcome it despite my best efforts. Now, in hindsight, it's a matter of relative importance, but never mind. That's how I found a well-known Reiki practitioner from southern Poland. As it happened, full of positive thoughts, I ignored my intuition, which was practically screaming at the top of my lungs to steer clear of this man. Well, that's naivety. I went, paid, and returned to him a few months later for a Reiki initiation. I should have sensed something was wrong right then, but the turning point turned out to be the man's ambitions – unfortunately, he had a penchant for pretty girls who wanted to help. Unfortunately, as we all know, naivety fades with experience. Therefore, I caution anyone who, despite this article, wants to undergo a Reiki initiation to thoroughly vet any potential practitioner. Any rumors should arouse your suspicions. Reiki itself is an energy that has its source in… Exactly, and this begs the question: where is it? Contrary to appearances, it's not the purest vibration of love, as your masters will assure you during the initiation. It's a bit more complex, and the initiation process itself resembles being hooked up to the tentacles of a giant octopus. For someone familiar with esoteric concepts, it will be obvious that it's a kind of ergregor. Leaving aside the obvious fact that the initiation I received caused considerable havoc in my energetics, because my master hadn't prepared the central channel for the energy flow, let's add that this person, wanting to make money, encouraged me to take the second degree after twenty-one days. She assured me of my greatness and uniqueness, and at the time, much younger in experience, I bought this story for a short time. However, my friend at the time also wanted to take advantage of the benefits of the Reiki initiation. I found out that she had been similarly deceived, which set off a red flag in my head.
The whole situation caused quite a scandal because I brought everything to light, finding this man's former victims.
And here you could say everything ended happily. Well, no. Unlearned by previous experience, or perhaps even so, I wanted to take the next level. Back then, I still politely considered this system quite valuable and worthy of attention. The next stage begins, forcing me to reflect. That is, the search for a master. Under the watchful eye of my clairvoyant, the cards, as I value them greatly as a tarot reader, and with a little help from my reliable intuition. First shot. So, a Reiki master and a lack of grounding. Here, I once again found myself in the same boat with this woman. Fortunately, I can't comment on her initiation, as I haven't had the chance to experience it. If I were to classify her, I would have to say she claims to be an incarnate angel, possessing wings, and other truly interesting theories. I don't believe in beings like incarnate angels or anything similar. Perhaps this is a sign of my ignorance, but my theory is confirmed by several clairvoyants. I've already had the opportunity to work with a respectable group here. From here, I greet them. This is the first missed shot. Okay, you could say they're individuals after all. Yes, but then we have you on W.
I don't know where this man resides, and I'm very happy about that, because to this day I don't know if he's actually sick or just pretending to be. Where did I find him? Again, forums, opinions, conversation. And that conversation with him really allowed me to understand a lot. Leaving aside the fantasies of his thoughts, because those could have been amusing and harmless. Like aliens, the dissolution of our bodies, and other, more controversial theories that my friends and I still laugh at to this day. For those who don't believe, I assure you that the earth is doing quite well, and I don't believe in the end of the world, and certainly not as soon as they predict. However, this man wasn't entirely as harmless as it might seem. He gathered young people around him, instilling his sick theories, isolating his peers from the world. Here, too, I was kind enough to bring this matter to light. I also had the opportunity to witness the work of his initiation. That is, its complete lack thereof. I am constantly supported by the views of people who are recognized within and outside their community.
I allowed myself to lay out my cards, and each time I missed a match. Each time, something went wrong. And so, after going through an unknown number of masters, I gave up on the pursuit of the second level. I'm happy about it now, but at the time, it was devastated. Of all the people I've encountered so far, two deserve my attention and potential collaboration, but each time they are also masters in other, more earth-bound fields.
And this is where I was forced to consider the question: Could Reiki, through its invasive initiation, cause energetic damage that prevents the brain from functioning properly? Unfortunately, I can't back this claim up with research, as none has been conducted. However, my encounters with this system so far have resulted in increasing reluctance, and if someone would allow me to change my mind, I would pursue something else, such as prana, which is more effective. Because, contrary to popular belief, Reiki only works on a small number of ailments, and it is sometimes rejected because the person being treated lacks free energy flow in their body.
And perhaps one more interesting tidbit: throughout this entire discussion and description of experiences, I've been hearing clairvoyant scans of Reiki masters. The most interesting thing is that their energy, which should be strong and crystal clear, seemed unremarkable compared to those practicing tai chi, for example. A susceptibility to attracting astral dirt and an ease with losing one's grounding are among the effects of initiation that we won't hear about from a master. It's good to at least seek out opinions other than the praise of a given system. Because we should act as we see fit, Reiki tempts with its ease and accessibility, but unfortunately, this simplicity can hide a hidden depth, which we only discover when the consequences of our actions force us to seek help. By then, it's often too late, and seeing how far mental imbalance has progressed in some people, I begin to worry about the multitudes who receive new initiations every day. Because, as they say, Reiki is the purest vibration of love, but the vibration of love does not make us want to use children to realize our strange and sick plans, or to sexually abuse our clients and adepts at the same time.
