Information and education about the paranormal can help resolve conflicts
The study of paranormal phenomena, such as extrasensory perception, the afterlife, and UFOs, is becoming increasingly important in resolving global conflicts. Using information about these unusual phenomena in information operations can improve cross-cultural cooperation and identify new perspectives on problem-solving. Thanks to widespread access to media such as films, books, and the internet, education about anomalous phenomena can foster positive social change and promote spiritual development and harmony.
Can the study of anomalous phenomena such as extrasensory perception (ESP), the afterlife, UFOs, or others, used as part of official or unofficial information operations, help resolve military and other conflicts around the world?
Information operations, persuasion operations, and psychological operations are among the many methods used to educate and influence people. While often associated with covert manipulation, these efforts can also be overt, direct, or even influence the course of events.
Researching and reporting on unusual and interesting phenomena can have a profoundly positive impact on military conflicts, intercultural clashes, terrorism, and many other issues we currently face. We know, for example, that ESP is a field that has in recent years sparked interest among scientists, military specialists, and even ordinary people. A technique called "remote viewing," developed by American intelligence, is also enjoying widespread interest among people worldwide curious about this divine ability. Research into human consciousness and "anomalous perception" can be valuable tools in solving conventional problems.
Life after death, the alleged existence of an afterlife in another dimension, reports of contact with people who have passed on to the other side, and the belief in the existence of angels are also subjects of interest for many nations and cultures. UFOs are also a subject of interest for many millions of people. Close encounters with UFOs have been reported from many corners of our planet.
Education and information about these kinds of things can help people gain a broader perspective on them, reflect on them more deeply, and approach them more constructively.
The dissemination of information that helps understand unconventional phenomena may lead to desirable developments in the following areas:
- learning about certain factors that unite people and improve cooperation in divisive issues
- identifying alternative perspectives and resources that can solve the problem and alleviate the conflict
- learning methods that motivate people to positive actions, including spiritual development, material support and social harmony. Platforms for operations informing about anomalous issues may include documentaries and feature films, television programs, the internet, non-fiction and science-fiction books, scientific reports, mainstream scientific articles and other means of communication.
Where language is a barrier, translations can be introduced to provide such information within a given culture.
Many films and other media can be successfully used in this type of educational operation due to the widespread worldwide use of satellite television, the Internet, and e-mail.
As examples, I'll cite my two novels, "Mission into the Light" and "Light's Hand," both published in 2001. Both novels deal with anomalous issues in the field of integration and research. The books recount the discoveries and adventures of a secret research team of 10 men and women. These members of the Joint Study Group Reconnaissance in San Diego investigate mysterious phenomena that have captured the attention of millions of people worldwide.
Readers, in a sense, also join the team investigating strange phenomena and themselves.
This is just one example of how easy access to and application of information operations on anomalous phenomena can increase human awareness, understanding, and change behavior. Observing the mix of such topics and the interweaving of media platforms, it's easy to see how information operations can be useful in achieving successful outcomes for many problems, both those we face today and those we face in the future.
