Her story

She had long, dark hair that was always very disheveled, despite her best efforts to keep it presentable. The rest of her appearance was ordinary for a seventeen-year-old. The only thing that slightly distinguished her from the crowd were her glasses with small, dark frames. At first glance, she seemed unremarkable. However, those who got to know her better disagree. In fact, no one knew much about her. She always walked alone, going her own way. And when she did stop somewhere, she could be seen either with a book, drawing, or writing. Her peers used to try to get close to her. But after a while, they stopped, calling her "freak," "alien from another planet," and a few other names. She just stared at them with her indifferent eyes and said nothing. She didn't even notice anyone trying to get close to her. She didn't care about company. A good book, a pencil, and a piece of paper were enough for her to be happy. Things used to be different. She had friends, acquaintances. Back then, she thought people liked her and accepted her. Everything changed the moment she started her new school. At first, it was good. But then people rejected her. Maybe it was just her imagination, or maybe not. But no one will ever know. Because that girl died. The smiling Elen who loved dancing and fooling around is gone. You ask me how it happened. And I can't answer that question. I only know a few moments of her life, and the rest we can only guess. Okay, I'll tell you, because it's no secret. When she started her new school, Elen had her own ideals, which, as it later turned out, no one but her could understand. She stood out. Because she liked different things, dressed differently, didn't do what everyone else did. Yes, I know it's silly, but that's how it is with teenagers. Don't you remember what it was like? Back to Elen. It was a blow for her. She lost all her friends because she stood out in small ways. But for them, that was the most important thing, and they decided that it was impossible to talk to Elen. Instead, they loved to tease her. But words never stopped. Tripping her in the hallway was commonplace. To them, it was a harmless joke, but to Elen... she hated it and didn't see anything funny about it, especially when she suddenly fell over. Slowly, she began to withdraw into herself. She concluded that the more she revealed her feelings, the more fun others had. It got to the point where she was able to say nothing to anyone. She considered this the best solution, although things got progressively worse later. She waited for someone who would understand her, but whenever she did open up to someone, she was deceived. So she built an ever-increasing wall against the world. Sometimes, she opened a small window into her soul only to people she met online. In her virtual diary, she wrote down her deepest secrets. She knew how to put her feelings into words, and she did it beautifully. But over time, it stopped helping.Because even all the kindest words couldn't replace her, the smile of understanding from another person. Understand, they killed her feelings. They turned her into a freak of nature because she was different. They extinguished the sparkle in her eyes. Only occasionally, a single, solitary tear rolls down her cheek, but even then, her eyes remain indifferent to everything happening around them. Don't you want to know what happened next? No, she didn't kill herself. She said a beautiful goodbye to everyone in her virtual diary and even had a razor blade in her hand. But she didn't. It's not about courage. She simply loves life. And in her heart, a glimmer of hope still flickers, that something will change. Don't ask how, the important thing is that I know and want to use this information. I see you still don't understand. I want to help her and rekindle her feelings. I know that's what Elen wants, and instead of asking questions, you would have listened to me until the end. It won't be an easy task, and I don't expect miracles. I just want to show her that there are still good people in this world who understand her. And you will help me with this...
