One day, the chemistry teacher announced that they would have lessons with the student for the next three weeks. The teacher asked Karolina, the best student in the subject, to help him as much as possible. The next day, Mr. Rafał showed up for class. He was of average height, dark complexion, and slim. He was handsome. He immediately gave them a short quiz, but without giving grades. The questions were about the last lesson. After the hour ended, the student asked her to come over. He borrowed her notebook. A few days later, the chemistry lesson looked a bit different. A poster, interesting facts, experiments… This caught most of the students' attention. After the lesson, Karolina couldn't resist complimenting him – "That was very cool!" she smiled. When no one was in the room, he suggested she come over to his dorm to discuss the next lesson. Karolina, since she had nothing planned for that day, readily agreed. In the afternoon, she arrived at the address she had given. When she knocked on the door Rafał had indicated, several voices shouted, "Come in!" Several people were sitting on the bed and on the floor.
"Excuse me, does Rafał Kowalski live here?" she asked shyly.
"Yes." A boy replied.
"He told me to come over..." She tried to explain.
"Wait a moment, I'll look for him," the same guy replied, getting out of bed. The girls motioned for her to sit down. They all had tons of chemistry textbooks. She sat down on the bed, unsure what to say.
"Do you go to the school where Rafał is doing his internship?" one of the girls tried to diffuse the tension. She nodded. After a few minutes, Rafał and the friend who had gone to pick him up entered the room.
"Oh, hi. I didn't expect you to come so soon." It was clear that this meeting had put a smile on his face. They left the room and went to the common room. They discussed the next topic for quite some time. They whiled away the time with tea or chats unrelated to chemistry. After three hours, she left his dorm, full of enthusiasm and smiling. From then on, Rafał was Rafał, not "the gentleman." A few days later, the lesson they had prepared went great. Unfortunately, that day, they heard there would be a test in a week. He noticed that no one in the class (except Karolina) was thrilled with the idea.
"Don't worry, if you want, we'll arrange a quick tutoring session," he smiled at Karolina. No one knew what he was talking about. He explained how he imagined it would be. The tutoring was to take place at Karolina's house. Only the girls showed up. Karolina knew they weren't there to study chemistry, but to see Rafał. The "tutoring session" lasted an hour. It would have lasted longer, but Rafał noticed that the girls weren't focusing on their studies; they were just trying to hit on him. After class, the student stayed with Karolina. That was when he kissed her for the first time. She was making tea in the kitchen when he hugged her from behind and kissed her on the neck, then on the cheek.
She didn't know what to do...
"What are you doing?" she whispered, turning to face him.
"I kissed you," he replied playfully.
That day wasn't the last kiss. They kissed in her room, in the living room, and in the kitchen. Their kisses at first were as gentle as a rose petal falling to the ground, but then they turned into passionate tongue caresses. Unfortunately, the spell was broken when someone opened the door.
"Mom's back," Karolina smiled.
She introduced Rafał as a chemistry student who had just... She didn't know what to say. She could have lied that they had classes and stayed. However, her mother noticed Karolina getting lost in her story, so she said, almost laughing,
"You don't have to lie, I know you kissed." They all started laughing together. Only Karolina stood before her mother, her face as red as a beetroot.
Soon after, Rafał left. The next day was the test. Karolina couldn't concentrate during chemistry class. She kept thinking about what had happened yesterday. She felt Rafał's gaze and knew he was thinking the same thing. After the test, he invited her over.
