・8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
・¼ cup heavy cream, ice cold
・3 tbsp olive oil
・1 tbsp lemon juice
・1 tsp lemon zest
・½ tsp fine sea salt
・¼ tsp cracked black pepper
🌰 The Toasted Hazelnut Crunch
・¾ cup hazelnuts, roughly chopped
・1 tbsp butter
・1 tsp honey
・¼ tsp flaky sea salt

・2 tbsp warm honey for drizzling

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🧅 Melt butter with olive oil in a large pan and add the
sliced onions over medium-low heat.
🔥 Cook the onions slowly for 35 minutes, stirring often
until deeply caramelized and mahogany.
✨ Stir in brown sugar, balsamic, thyme, salt, and pepper,
then cook for 5 more minutes until glossy.
🌰 Toast hazelnuts with butter, honey, and salt in a dry
pan until golden and aromatic, about 4 minutes.
❄️ Tip the toasted hazelnuts onto parchment paper to
cool into a glossy crackling crunch.
🥖 Brush the sourdough halves with olive oil, rub with
garlic, and toast at 425°F for 8 minutes until golden.
