A matchmaker from beyond the grave

Twelve years after her death, in 1885, Palladia appeared before the judge, smiling joyfully. She said: "I was there, I saw it." And... she disappeared. The next morning, she visited for the first time a young girl whom Mamchitch did not know.

Palladia stood at the head of the girl's bed and said:

"Don't be afraid of me, I am good and loving." A year passed and the girl married the judge...

For several more years, Palladia continued to appear at the judge's house. Only he and his infant son, Oleg, saw her. The child would then point to a point in space and say, "Madam." This couldn't have been a child's invention, as Mamchich's dog always panicked during these visits and clung to people.
