Facts About Zombie Road

The road is a two-mile-long path that traverses a small area and the Meramec River in Missouri. Large oak trees line the road. This larger "path" has been used by Native Americans for thousands of years because it cuts through rocky terrain to the river. It is believed that this road served as a route for transporting weapons, food, and other supplies.

Early in the 18th century, a water connection was supposed to exist between the two ends of the Meramec River. Many people, especially children, were said to have lost their lives during the crossing. A woman named Della Hamilton, wife of a wealthy landowner, was strangely pulled under a train one day, ending in her death. And from this very spot, a miniature tourist train departs to this day.

Strange things happen and have happened on Zombie Road. I will try to describe these strange occurrences in more detail. Many people who have ever lived there can attest to paranormal and not-so-paranormal occurrences there. From strange light signs to shadowy figures to the appearance of black shadows that resembled nothing, it all happened on this street. A mysterious white fog also appears here. These black figures have also been spotted by law enforcement.

The most famous photo from Zombie Road is probably this one:

The modern history of Zombie Road begins in the 1960s and 1970s. During this period, a house stood there where satanic rituals were performed. Even today, people are warned against walking along Zombie Road alone or after sunset. Animal bones and remains are still found. There are also rumors of a woman who sacrificed humans. Even today, many people believe that satanic rituals evoked a great deal of demonic energy there. No one can know what gates these rituals opened. Anyone wishing to enter Zombie Road should go in a large and strong group. Never alone. An old police officer who often passed through the area on duty reports that many people were murdered there, and their remains were scattered throughout the area. When asked what a person needs to penetrate Zombie Road, he replied:

An extremely resistant vest, a large weapon and a lot of luck.

In the 1960s and 1970s, mysterious deaths occurred there. Murders and suicides were said to have occurred there. A young couple was walking in the area. They wanted to look down at the street. They climbed to a high point, and while they were looking, the boy suddenly slipped and fell face-first. He fell face-first into sharp branches, his face hanging from the tree, and his head and body were blown off. The girl is certain she saw a black figure pushing the boy down.

This incident wasn't the only one at the site. A boy fell from the same spot and broke his neck. The tragically deceased man's friends reportedly ran screaming from the spot, causing his body to be discovered only several weeks later.

In the 1970s, two young boys were run over by a train. Some residents were drafted into the search party to find body parts. A hunter ran into a car whose engine was still running. He found a man inside who had blown exhaust fumes into the car and suffocated there. As mentioned above, this road was used by young people heading to see various zombie movies. Many of the youngsters inhaled various substances, and at least one person died as a result.

Many of the so-called "Partykids" never returned home, and all the strange deaths are attributed to drugs.

In the 1990s, a mother with a 5-year-old child was hit by a train while trying to cross a bridge. The mother died instantly, using her last strength to throw her child away. The train driver managed to stop the train and at least save the child. Another story tells of a wooden hut at the end of the road, where an old woman can be found with a gun. There is also a story about a colonist who allegedly lost the woman at cards. In despair, the man went home and hanged himself. There have also been deaths through violence.

As for the hunters, these two groups achieved a measure of success. Using specialized equipment, they managed to photograph various human-shaped shadows among the oak trees. It's possible that these photos depict deceased children or victims of a satanic cult. It's also possible that these are unlucky individuals. There is also speculation and debate about the individuals depicted in the photos, some suggesting they are Native Americans who once lived in the area. Greg Myers says that while walking along Zombie Road, he noticed a black figure gliding through the treetops. Once the shadow reached the street, it suddenly disappeared.

The photos displayed messages such as "The Death People are alive" or "You know too much," which translates to "The dead are alive" and "You know too much." It remains unclear to this day whether this is the work of Satanists or if the spirits genuinely want to be noticed by humans. Greg stated in one report that voices could be heard and the touch of spirits could be felt throughout.

While crossing the bridge, at least one member reportedly tasted blood in their mouths. They suspect the shadow they saw was the ghost of a man who tragically died after being run over by a train.

At the end of his report, Greg quoted the following words:

Are you afraid? No...?

When you survive Zombie Road, you will be afraid.

This is where the story of "Children of the Grave" ends – about haunted cemeteries, orphanages and, of course, the legendary Zombie Road.
