Residents of Pinsk in southern Belarus avoid alcohol for fear of ending up in a sobering-up cell. This is all due to a ghost that has supposedly taken up residence there.A camera monitoring the sobering-up station captured a shadow appearing unexpectedly. The shadow allegedly fell on the drunk man, causing him to fall from his bed and feel unwell. Regulars recalled that windows in the station had previously broken for no apparent reason.
The Pinsk sobering-up station was built on the site of a former cemetery. A crematorium is located nearby. All these facts lend the event a certain mystery.
The station's management invited a criminologist to investigate whether supernatural forces were indeed at work there. The specialist concluded that the shadow captured by the video camera came from a passing insect. The sobering-up station staff believed the explanation, but the number of patients dropped significantly.
