Część 2

"I don't know if it's haunted. I can tell you what happened to me there... I can swear to that!" Jerzy Lipka assures. "I was just a young boy. I was helping my aunt mow the grass near Tempelberg. It was broad daylight, between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. I wanted to take a shortcut and go through Tempelberg. I walked straight ahead, but suddenly I wanted to go back. I was no more than 30 meters from the embankment surrounding the mound and couldn't find the exit! I saw the embankment, but I couldn't reach it; I didn't know how to get out. I felt like I was in a daze," Mr. Lipka recalls. "In Obrowiec, there was a great lover of culture and monuments; he worked as a teacher and his name was Kałuża." His notes include information about seeing 'a dog with fire in its mouth' at noon, and there are also many mentions of people being unable to find their way out of Tempelberg, adds Jerzy Lipka.

There's also a rumor that the dog has a key hanging around its neck. If someone breaks the key, the Templar castle will be rebuilt. Although nothing remains of the Templar stronghold, some residents of Obrowiec have been searching for the remains of the knights' residence on their own. Local amateur archaeologists reportedly once unearthed an old gate and stairs, and in the evening, when it began to get dark, they secured the site and went to bed. When they returned in the morning to continue digging, there was no trace of their work. Everything was buried, and there was no trace of the digging. On Tempelberg, a farmer found a well-preserved, old gate:
"In Obrowiec, in the Matejko manor, in the old state farm building, there was a door to a warehouse. The door was from Tempelberg. At night, someone was constantly opening and closing the door; there was no peace," says Jerzy Lipka. Many residents of Obrowiec know that Tempelberg's disappearance is shrouded in mystery, that this place is unusual. People working in the surrounding fields stop working at noon and move away from the Templar mound. Apparently, terrifying sounds can be heard from there. Even after dark, no one goes near it, and even the most daring individuals flee in fear.

"Some guys once made a bet that they could stay up all night on Tempelberg. They drank so much alcohol they couldn't stand, and at midnight, terrified, they ran straight out," say Sabrina, Krzysiek, and Piotrek. And how do you explain an incident that took place in 1994 or 1995?
Tourists were passing through Obrowiec. Their vacation plan was to walk along the Oder River. They didn't know anything about Tempelberg. They just saw a hill and decided to pitch a tent there – sheltered from the wind and rain. Around 2:00 a.m., they ran – in their sleeping clothes – to the nearest house and banged on the door, screaming that something white was hitting their tent and flying around it," recalls Mr. Skórka. "We also felt uneasy on Tempelberg. Perhaps it was the dimness caused by the dense treetops? Or perhaps the mysterious remains of the moat and the swamp? Or perhaps it was simply the power of suggestion, the thrill of hearing incredible stories? Perhaps – influenced by the chilling legends surrounding Tempelberg – people don't go near this place? Believe it or not? The fact is, Tempelberg possesses a unique, dark charm, to which we, too, have succumbed. And even if the photo of the young people were merely a successful hoax, or the silhouette of the figures merely an optical illusion caused, for example, by the translucent sun, it must be admitted that this place is shrouded in a mysterious aura
