The Green Man and the Templars are also connected to the churches on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. The arrangement of the local temples, their proportions, and the distances between them hold the key to secret knowledge. This is connected to the activities of the Templar order, whose members incorporated knowledge of divine proportions, angles, and dimensions, which underpin life in the universe, into a geometric system created by ancient churches. Connecting the locations of the old rotundas and other Bornholm churches with lines creates a drawing of a gigantic pentagram. As is well known, the pentagram is based on the golden ratio, and therefore has protective significance.
Images of the Green Man also appear in temples on Bornholm. They are best seen in a fresco in the rotunda church in Osterlars.
Finally, and most importantly, the Templars were accused during their trial of worshipping a man with a beard. Undoubtedly, this was the Green Man.
