Great! Here's **Chapter 5**, where the investigation heats up, Jakub and Argo begin to reconstruct the killer's actions, and the danger becomes physically real. --

## **Chapter 5: Shadow Game**

The morning was foggy and cold. Commissioner Jakub Nowak sat at his desk at the station, all the evidence spread out before him: photos of the victims, notes, keys, and symbols. Argo lay at his feet, carefully observing every move.

"Okay, Argo, time to piece together this puzzle," Jakub said. "We need to reconstruct our opponent's every move. Every detail could lead to him."

The dog raised its head and slowly approached the city map. The commissioner noticed it was sniffing over the locations where the victims and symbols had appeared.

"I see the same thing you do," he muttered. "Everything forms a line... but why this arrangement?"

The map showed that the locations where the victims had appeared formed an arc leading from the city center toward the old industrial districts and the port. Jakub felt uneasy. Someone was deliberately leading them on a trail that would lure them into a trap.

---

### **Another Meeting**

The decision was clear: they had to check every spot in the line. The Commissioner and Argo set off in the car, and the dog immediately began sniffing at the first point—an old warehouse in the port.

A hooded man waited among the containers. His silhouette was still, his eyes gleaming in the shadows. The Commissioner immediately felt a familiar tension.

"I've been looking for you, Commissioner," he said quietly, his voice icy. "I see you're following my route."

"Who are you?" Jakub asked, pointing his gun at him.

"You can call me a guide," the stranger replied. "But I don't always take you where you want me to go."

At that moment, Argo growled low, indicating that the man wasn't who he claimed to be. Suddenly, there was movement in the containers.

"Argo, on me!" shouted Jakub.

The dog lunged toward the shadows, and Jakub simultaneously aimed his weapon. Two men jumped out of the containers, armed and ready to attack.

--

### **First Fight**

Argo's quick reaction and the commissioner's reflexes saved their lives. The dog lunged at one of the attackers, knocking him to the ground, while Jakub held the other in a deadly attack with his weapon. The fight lasted a few seconds, and adrenaline was pumping through the commissioner's veins.

When the dust settled, the attackers fled deeper into the warehouse, leaving only the echo of footsteps and lost tools behind. The dog stood beside Jakub, catching his breath, ready to continue.

"Argo, you're doing well," he said, petting the dog's head. "But this is only the beginning."

---

### **Dangerous Clues**

In the warehouse, Jakub found another clue: documents with city maps, marked with the same symbols he'd seen on the victims. Someone was preparing for their next move, as if the entire series of murders were part of a larger puzzle.

"It's not just murders anymore," he said quietly. "It's a strategy, a psychological game."

Argo barked, pointing to the door leading to the back of the warehouse. The commissioner approached cautiously and saw another figure in the shadows—a silhouette he recognized from previous encounters. Rokicki.

"See how everything connects, commissioner?" the man said with icy calm. "Every move matters, every step is part of the plan."

Jakub felt his opponent had anticipated their every move. But he also knew one thing: they had an advantage no one had anticipated—Argo and his extraordinary nose.

"And we have our ace," Jakub said, looking at the dog. "And we won't hesitate to use it."

---

### **Chapter End**

Leaving the warehouse, Jakub looked up at the night sky. The fog was thickening, and the city still slept, unaware of the threat lurking in its shadows.

"Argo, we have to go deeper tomorrow," the commissioner said. "This isn't just a game of cat and mouse anymore. Now someone really wants to eliminate us."

The dog barked softly, as if understanding every word. Their shadow game was just beginning, and the enemy was getting closer.

--

I can write **Chapter 6** right now, where Jakub and Argo will begin their direct investigation into the murderer, fall into psychological and physical traps, and the tension will reach new, dramatic levels.

Would you like me to continue Chapter 6?
