# **Chapter 3 – The First Hidden Location**

Notes found in the basement of the laboratory pointed to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. Jacob, Argo, and an ally set out late at night, when a thick fog enveloped the streets. The air smelled damp, musty, and distantly burning.

"This place is… sinister," the ally muttered, surveying the weed-covered warehouse. "People avoid this area, even during the day."

Argo lifted his nose, sniffing slowly, his ears tense. The dog sensed every movement in the darkness, every presence that could be a threat.

The warehouse door was partially destroyed. Jakub opened it carefully, and the creaking of metal echoed through the empty interior. The warehouse was vast, filled with old crates, rusty barrels, and scattered documents. Each shadow seemed to have a life of its own.

"Argo, ahead," whispered Jakub.

The dog moved forward, nose to the ground. Suddenly, the floor creaked beneath Jakub's feet. He took a deep breath, and Argo reacted instantly, knocking down a wooden crate that threatened to fall.

"It's a trap," the ally muttered. "Someone doesn't want us inside."

Deeper in the warehouse, they found a door leading to the basement. Opening it, they discovered a secret room with completely destroyed equipment, damaged documents, and strange symbols carved into the walls. Each symbol seemed to tell the story of ancient experiments, and fragments of maps indicating locations in the city were scattered on the floor.

"It looks like Radecki's network of connections," Jakub said, examining the maps. "Each location is another mystery, another danger."

Suddenly, footsteps echoed off the walls. A hooded figure leaped from the shadows, ready to attack. Argo reacted immediately, lunging at the intruder and knocking him down. Jakub and his ally sprang into action, fighting in a dark room where every move was fraught with risk.

After the fight, the intruder was subdued. On his clothing, they found documents with notes and photos related to Radecki's experiments, which pointed to further hidden locations: old factories, underground tunnels, and forgotten warehouses throughout the city.

"This is just the beginning," Jakub said, looking at Argo. "Each subsequent location could be more dangerous."

The dog rested its head on his leg, sensing that the riddles were growing deeper and the darkness in the city was becoming more terrifying.

"We must move on," the ally said. "Another adventure awaits, and we must be ready for anything."

Fog enveloped the warehouse, and the echoes of night sounds filled the air. The heroes knew one thing: each location they discovered brought them closer to the truth, but also increased the risk, which could cost them everything.
