CHAPTER 9

Two days passed, and the big day arrived. They both got up at dawn. Martin dressed in his suit, and Mia put on a black dress, similar to her red one, and tied her hair in a bun.
"You look beautiful.
" "Thanks.
" "Come here," Martin waved a finger at himself. Mia walked up to him. "Turn your back to me." The woman did as the man told her. Suddenly, she felt something cold on the back of her neck. It was a beautiful, silver necklace with a heart. The girl turned to face the boy.
"But Martin.
" "Shh," Martin put his index finger to the woman's lips. "It's a keepsake, so you never forget, it's repayment of my debt.
" "You don't owe me anything, it was an agreement.
" "I owe you something more. I have another surprise, outside." Outside, in front of the garage, a new red convertible was waiting for Mia again.
"My convertible.
" "Yes, yours.
" "And where's the engine?
" "In the garage. Waiting for the right moment.
" "Although you tried it. Because, you know, it won't start yet, and what will happen?
" "Don't worry, I tried. Everything works."
"That's great.
" "What time does the wedding start?
" "One o'clock.
" "Just two more hours and I'll take Ashley on the motorcycle.
" "But first, you're taking me.
" "What?
" "I changed my plans a bit.
" "Two hours before the plan starts!"
"No, I already had it figured out yesterday, but I forgot to tell you. It's simple, I'm going with you. We'll drive there, you and I will get out and leave the motorcycle there. We'll go to the cloakroom, I'll knock out the bridesmaids, and you'll take the bride and ride off with her." Martin looked at the girl in surprise. "Are you missing something?"
"Yes. And you? We'll leave, and you?" Mia laughed, walked up to Martin, and kissed him on the cheek. "I'll go to the groom with some news," the woman smiled.
"I can't wait."
Two hours later, they were executing everything according to plan, and Mia had just entered the cloakroom.
"Who are you?" one of the bridesmaids asked.
"Your nightmare," she said, and shot her fist straight at the girl's face, doing the same to the others. Ashley stood in her white dress, watching the whole situation with surprise. Finally, she spoke.
"Who the hell are you?
" "You really are a match for Martin, you even talk and act alike.
" "Do you know Martin?
" "Yes, I'm his BEST friend. Martin!" The boy walked in.
"Martin!?
" "Hello, baby," the man smiled. "Now I'm taking you for a little ride." Martin walked over to her and took her in his arms, then turned to Mia. "Thanks for everything." Then he walked towards the motorcycle. He got on it, holding Ashley on his lap.
"Martin. What are you even doing?
" "I don't want to lose my only half. Remember how we promised each other we'd never be apart? I'm keeping that promise.
" "I didn't mean to, Martin.
" "I know."
"My parents just told me to, they said they'd disown me if I didn't marry Tony Foster.
" "That jerk?" the boy smiled.
"Hey, anyway, since when did you know how to ride a motorcycle, and who was that girl?
" "That's the girl who taught me how to ride a motorcycle.
" "Your BEST friend?
" "Is that how she introduced herself? I'll give her a slap in the face if I meet her. I met her right before our fight... and in the end, she helped me kidnap you.
" "I have to thank her.
" "Sure," Martin braked, "here it is." They were standing in front of a large, beautiful mansion. He took Ashley in his arms and led her to the bedroom...
Mia pulled a folded note from her purse. She headed for the church. All the guests were already waiting, so when Mia entered the church, the wedding march played, and everyone turned to look at her. She walked up to the groom and whispered, "Please read this quickly, preferably now," and then quickly left, heading home to her convertible.
The groom, not Tony Foster, opened the note, which read:

I AM VERY SORRY,
COME ON, NO,
I AM NOT SORRY ,
I KIDNAPPED YOUR BRIDE
AND WE ROADED OFF INTO THE SUNSET
ON MY MOTORCYCLE . WITH RESPECT, THE KIDNAPPER. CHAPTER 10 Two months later: "You may kiss the bride." Martin hugged Ashley and kissed her. They had just gotten married, and there was a reception. Many friends and acquaintances came, and my BEST friend, too. "I hope you'll be happy," she smiled at them with her beautiful smile. "I hope so too," Alex Dogliotto approached them. "Oh, Alex, what are you doing here? Are you going to bother Martin again? " "Come on, Mia. I'm just doing my job, but not today, I came to wish you well. " "Thanks," Martin smiled. "Mia. " "Yes." Mia looked at Ashley. "Thanks for everything, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here today, this celebration wouldn't exist. " "Come on, I did it with pleasure," she smiled at her, then looked at Martin. She was wearing his necklace and remembered their kiss, which she had intended to erase from her memory. Only now did she understand what Martin meant when he said their kiss further confirmed that he and she weren't meant to be together. He was right, it wasn't anything. That evening, the bride and groom were supposed to ride off on their motorcycle for their honeymoon. But before that, there was the bouquet toss. Ashley turned around and threw herself into the crowd of women. The entire crowd was now looking at the bride-to-be. Ashley and Martin approached her. "Well, Mia, you'll meet him someday," he smiled at her, and then he and Ashley departed for their honeymoon. Mia held a bouquet of flowers and gazed at the sunset. Her white dress and hair blew gently in the wind. She thought of Martin's certain last words: YOU'LL MEET HIM ONE DAY...
