The next day, while walking through the streets of New York, I noticed a number of merchants selling photographs of the World Trade Center and Battery Park City. One large photo caught my eye. It showed the World Trade Center before 9/11. In the middle of the photo was an apartment building that was hard to miss. It was our building. It was easy to spot because there's a circle on top that looks like a missing clock. Of course, I had to buy it. It was attractive and only cost four dollars. When we took the photo home to hang it on the wall, Jack shouted to me. He said, "Look!" On the back was the word "Portal."

Has the area around Point Zero been cleansed of old, dark, evil energy? Is this energy still there? Why did nearly 3,000 people die? Was their karma balanced? Did they become helpless victims? Or was it perhaps an acceleration of their karma, so that sins would be washed away in one lifetime, rather than many? Are there similar places in our country or the world? Can we still prevent similar events?

After some meditation, I had the impression that Edgar Cayce had said, "There are no accidents. There are no victims." People at a certain level of consciousness understand and usually agree to any explanation for their karma. Cell phone messages heard by friends and relatives of those who died on 9/11 are usually incredibly cool and calm. Among the victims of 9/11, a sense of calm prevailed, as if they knew what was happening and were accepting it.

Many people couldn't comprehend or explain how they were sitting at their desks drinking coffee one minute, and then suddenly found themselves on the street in front of the World Trade Center, still holding a cup of coffee. Many people had no memory or awareness of when they left the building and crossed the street safely.

September 11th was an unspeakable tragedy. However, this tragedy was interspersed with many blessings. For example, all the children in Battery Park City's rooms and schools survived, as did many residents and their pets. There were also World Trade Center workers who survived because they missed their trains or overslept.

September 11 should be a wake-up call to all of us. We must appreciate the beauty and blessings of our land. We must strengthen and increase our relationship with God. We must listen to our own inner and angelic guide, who is God.
