Reliable Tarot

Tarot, as a form of divination, arouses much controversy and diverse opinions. For some, it is merely entertainment, for others, a practice burdened with negative connotations, such as accusations of occultism or evil. Despite these prejudices, many tarot readers, including those from traditional religious communities, find profound wisdom and valuable lessons about the human experience in the tarot. In this article, we will discuss how the tarot can be interpreted as a tool for personal growth and its significance within the context of various mystical traditions.

There are people who consider Tarot to be, at best, a frivolous pastime, and, at worst, a pursuit of evil or a fraudulent practice. Unless you live in a unique and somewhat isolated community, we Tarot readers occasionally encounter people who steadfastly (and vocally!) hold these views. For our own peace of mind and to maintain our effectiveness as a reading reader, it's crucial that we dispel the negative energy generated by prejudice and accusation by utilizing facts to the contrary.

Depending on who makes them, in most cases these accusations do no harm. However, sometimes such disparaging comments can negatively impact the growth of our Tarot reading practice and the public's perception of Tarot in general. Therefore, they must be addressed immediately!

In my practice, I've found that the most effective response to negativity rooted in ignorance is a double jab. The first jab is what I call the "Tarot of the Skeptic." The second is a discussion of the Tarot's correspondences with other mystical traditions. The operative word here is "briefly." A book-length series of treatises could be written on each of these mystical correspondences, and in many cases, this has been the case.
