Great! Here's **Chapter 4: Secrets of the House** – the continuation of Jacob and Argo's adventure:---
## **Chapter 4: Secrets of the House**
Jakub quickened his pace, his hand on Argo's head, who was feeling increasingly restless. The shadow behind the sarcophagus quivered as if breathing with them, and the air in the basement grew thicker with each passing second.
"We have to find out what this house is," Jacob said, trying not to betray his fear. "It doesn't act like a normal house. It… watches us."
Mara stepped closer, her eyes gleaming in the dimness.
"The house lives on memories," she whispered. "Everything that happened here stays. And sometimes the past refuses to go away."
Jakub looked at the sarcophagus. The labyrinth symbol on its lid pulsated in the light of the flickering lamp. He noticed a small alcove on the side of the sarcophagus, where something glinted. He carefully removed an old metal key, rusty but still sturdy.
"This must be the key…" he muttered. "The key to this basement. Or to something even deeper."
Mara nodded:
"This key opens doors even I haven't seen. But we must be careful. What lies beyond is not for humans."
The Argo began to growl softly, and in response, the basement walls vibrated. Jacob felt the ground tremble beneath their feet. Suddenly, another door appeared before them—an old wooden one, carved with the same labyrinth as the sarcophagus.
"This is it," Mara said. "But remember: a house doesn't give away its secrets for free."
Jakub inserted the key into the lock. The door opened with a soft creak, revealing a staircase leading downward. Each step seemed to absorb the light, and the air smelled of dampness and something… alive.
“We are ready,” Jacob said. Argo barked in response, as if nodding.
They descended and found themselves in a vast underground chamber, its walls covered with ancient signs and symbols. In the center stood a fountain of black water, moving though no one touched it. And in it reflected something… something they were not meant to see.
“It is the memory of the house,” Mara whispered. “All the women, everyone who has been here, have left a part of themselves here. And now they look at us.”
Jacob felt a chill run down his spine. Some were calm, others filled with anger. But most disturbing was that one figure in the water… looked exactly like him.
“I don’t believe it…” he whispered. “How is this possible?”
Mara looked at him seriously.
“The house doesn’t just remember… it repeats. Every generation repeats the same mistakes. And now it’s your turn, Jacob.”
The Argo hissed, and the water in the fountain began to ripple violently. Jacob knew there was no turning back. The secret of the house awaited, and the answers could change everything—even who they truly were.

Now I can write **Chapter 5**, in which Jacob and Argo will face the house's first test and discover its dark rules.
