Girls on Top"

Introduction:
++++The heroines of this book are four crazy teenagers: Zuzia, Wera (Weronika), Alma, and Marylka. The girls have a thousand ideas a minute and are constantly coming up with new ways to spend their free time. I think the book (in this case published in chapters, individually) will especially appeal to girls, because it was written with them in mind. However, I think that many a parent or friend will be tempted to read this book out of curiosity about what interests girls this age. I can only wish you happy reading!!!

Chapter One: "Plans" -

Good morning, Mrs. Freetz, is Alma?
- Good morning! And who's this?
- Marylka
- Oh, how could I not recognize that wonderful voice? Alma is here, she's already giving it to me.
- Thank you... - Marylka
, what's up?
- Nice to hear from you too. Listen, I have an urgent matter, very urgent even...
- So tell me!
"This isn't a phone call!
" "Oh! Stop with your secrets again! Knowing you, you probably don't know what pattern to paint your nails, and you're making such a fuss!
" "You know what, I thought you were my friend..."
"Of course! Fine, whatever. I'll drop by in half an hour.
Now I have to go, Mom's given me a thousand reasons to clean my room...
" "Of course, bye! Just don't forget!!!
" "Bye, unforgettable."
Exactly half an hour later, the entire "witches' circle" (that's what their friends called their friends) gathered at Maryla's house. Alma, as usual, was flipping through a glossy magazine, Zuzka was sitting at the computer, and the other two girls were making a generous helping of popcorn, and of course, a few bars of chocolate, because:
"There's no better solution to a problem than a large dose of chocolate," Werka declared, and rushed to the kitchen.
When the "meeting" was finally ready for deliberation, the girls got down to business.
"So, Maryla, what's this all about?" Zuzka asked, taking a handful of popcorn.
"Exactly, Maryla, tell me!" Alma urged her.
"Okay, okay, why are you so impatient!"
"So, the thing is, Robert called me yesterday and said he's throwing a party...
" "A party? That sounds stupid, what kind of party can 13-year-olds go to?!
" "Oh, Alma, let her finish," Zuzka said,
and they continued their discussion.
"So, Robert's birthday is on July 3rd and he's throwing a party, but since it's a bit bigger, he decided he wanted us to be there. He guaranteed a good time...
" "Wait a minute!! I'm not signing up for any idiotic party!!! It's boring, that's all," Alma said.
"Hmm, I think it's not a bad idea! How can we know it'll be a lie when we've never been to a boy's party, let alone Robert's..." Zuzka added
. "Hey, Werka, you're the only one who hasn't said anything." Maryla looked at Weronika searchingly.
"Me?? No, I don't know...
" "What?! You know perfectly well that Werka is secretly in love with Robert.
" "That's not true, I'm not in love with him...
Maybe I just like him.
He's actually nice, and his crazy haircut and those...
" "Hey, stop telling us this!!
We have to think about whether we're going or not!
Because if they all go, they all go, and if we don't go, none of them go.
" "So?" Maryla asked.
"Oh, and there will be: Damian, Kamil, Bartek, and a few other guys from school..."
"So that's it :> so I'm in!" Zuzia shouted eagerly.
"Well, that's not a bad idea, let's go!!!" Alma added.
"Well, I'm in too, just let our beloved Weronika have her say :>" Maryla added cynically.
"Me? I don't know, I guess I'll have to clean and study, you know how it is...
" "No, we don't know, you're going and that's it!!!!!
" "But...
" "Don't make excuses!" the girls shouted, and it was decided.
We're going to the birthday party!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter Two: "Preparations"
So July 2nd arrived - the day before Robert's birthday.
The girls all went out into the city in search of "fantastic outfits and even more fantastic gifts."

"What exactly are we supposed to buy?" Alma looked at her friends searchingly.
"So, actually... hmh... we don't know?
" "Okay, I have a plan!" Maryla stated.
"We'll just go to the first store we come across, buy some drawing clothes and dresses." So, that's it, and then we're going for a huge scoop of ice cream with whipped cream and...
"Mother Zuzka, you always think only about food!" Weronika said, and continued:
"I can't wear just anything, I want to look as beautiful as possible, and have a beautiful gift for the birthday boy...
" "I'd like that too," Maryla replied, and exclaimed:
"Oh, look at that great skirt in the window..."

And so, after four hours of browsing through clothes and gifts suitable for Robert, the girls returned home with beautiful dresses and presents: they bought a Peja CD and a sweet frame with their picture.
"He should be happy," they said, and then returned home exhausted...
The next day, exactly an hour before the party, panic seized them.
"What if he doesn't like the gift?" Maryla worried.
"Well, you'll definitely like it!" Alma replied, strangely calm.
"Girls, I look terrible! I'm about to cry, look how awful I look!" Weronika, who was already on the verge of tears, shouted, running into the room.
"Hey girls, stop whining! You better get dressed because my dad will be picking us up soon," Zuzia said.
She then marched to the bathroom.
A moment later, the "pimped out" girls were getting into Mr. Kletz's—Zuzia's—car.
"Girls, just don't do things that aren't allowed..." Mr. Kletz lectured the girls.
"Yes, we know, we know," Zuzia replied, already impatient.
So let's go...

More adventures coming soon...
