Matcha Raspberry Rolls Recipe

 


📝 Ingredients

For the Dough:


2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast


3/4 cup warm milk (not hot)


1/4 cup granulated sugar


1 egg


1/4 cup melted butter


2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour


1 tbsp matcha powder


1/2 tsp salt


For the Filling:


1/2 cup raspberry jam or raspberry puree


1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries


1 tbsp sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)


For the Icing:


1/2 cup powdered sugar


1–2 tbsp milk or lemon juice


(Optional) Cream cheese for a thicker glaze


🥣 Instructions

1. Make the Dough:


In a large bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for

5 minutes until foamy.


Add the sugar, egg, melted butter, matcha powder, and

salt. Stir to combine.


Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.


Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes

until smooth.


Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel,

and let it rise for 1 hour (until doubled in size).


2. Shape and Fill:


Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about 12x8 inches).


Spread the raspberry jam evenly, then sprinkle fresh

raspberries over it.


Roll it up from the long side like a cinnamon roll log.


Cut into 8–10 rolls and place them in a greased baking

pan.


3. Final Rise & Bake:


Cover the pan with a towel and let rise for another 30

minutes.


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).


Bake for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.


4. Glaze:


Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.


Drizzle over warm rolls and top each with a raspberry if

you’d like!
