*
The next day, Lena and Adam returned to their apartment after work.
On the living room table lay another envelope. This time, it contained several old letters that looked as if they dated back to Anna Kurecka's time.
The letters were written in small, careful handwriting, and some pages were stained, as if someone had tried to destroy them.
*"I feel his presence in every corner of the house. He reminds me that nothing is safe."*
*"Don't trust the silence. Every sound can mean something more."*
Lena began reading them aloud, and Adam listened silently.
"It's like she's talking to us..." Lena whispered.
"Or warning us," Adam added.
The more letters they read, the more they discovered Anna's dark connections to the town's former inhabitants.
Some disappeared, others descended into madness. Each letter featured a repeated spiral motif—a symbol they'd seen in the house and on the key.
"It's no coincidence," Adam said. "That symbol… is the key."

# **Chapter 17 – Reflection in the Mirror**
A few days later, Lena was alone in the apartment. Adam had gone shopping, and she decided to organize her letters and notes.
She accidentally placed them on the old dressing table with the mirror they'd inherited from Adam's grandmother.
As she leafed through the documents, she suddenly felt a chill in the room.
She glanced into the mirror.
At first, she saw nothing. Then she saw a figure standing behind her—tall, dressed in black, his face obscured by shadow.
"Adam?" she whispered, turning around. No one was there.
The figure in the mirror, however, didn't move. Its eyes were bright and piercing.
Lena felt her heart pound in her chest.
"This… can't be real," she whispered.
When she touched the mirror, the surface was cold and hard. The figure began to shift, as if trying to reach out to her.
At that moment, Adam returned and saw Lena standing by the mirror, her eyes wide.
"What's going on?!" he cried.
"It's… him…" Lena whispered, panic evident in her voice.

# **Chapter 18 – Return to the Cliff**
They could no longer ignore the signs. Lena and Adam decided to return to Cliff House to solve the mystery once and for all.
The journey was silent and tense. Every bend in the road, every static on the radio sent shivers down their spines.
When they arrived, the house looked even gloomier than before. The waves crashed against the rocks with a force they had never seen before.
"I don't know if we're ready," Lena admitted, embracing Adam.
"We have no choice," he replied calmly. "If we don't solve this riddle now, she'll come after us."
They went inside. The air smelled of damp and dust, and Anna's old presence was evident in every room.
Fresh spiral symbols appeared on the walls, and faint whispers could be heard in the distance.
"Can you hear that?" Lena asked, holding tight to Adam.
"Yes... and it doesn't sound like we're alone," he replied.
With each step deeper into the house, a true battle with something invisible yet omnipresent began.
The house was alive and remembered. And it clearly wasn't about to let them leave without a final battle.
