Great! We're starting a **new part of the story**, expanding the characters' storylines after the events at Cliff House, introducing additional suspense and flashbacks. Here's the first chapter of this sequel: --- # **Chapter 15 – Echoes of the Past*

 *

Weeks passed after their escape from Cliff House, and Lena and Adam's lives slowly returned to normal.

The city was bustling, and they found a small apartment in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a park.

But the peace was deceptive. Every creak of the floorboards, every draft at the window sent shivers down Lena's spine.

Sometimes at night, she woke up with the feeling that someone was standing at the bedroom door, that the shadow in the corner wasn't just a shadow.

Adam noticed it before she did.

"Lena... stop thinking about that place," he said calmly, trying to hide his own anxiety.

"I can't," she whispered, drawing herself closer to him. "Sometimes I feel like the house is looking for me."

One evening, they found an envelope in the mailbox, unmarked.

It was old, yellow, and smelled of damp and dust, as if it had survived decades in a forgotten corner.

A single card was inside. On it was written in clear, even handwriting:

*"Never think that running away ends everything. The truth is still with you, where you least expect it."*

Lena flinched. Adam narrowed his eyes.

"Is that... from Anna?" she whispered.

"I don't know," Adam replied. "But it looks like the house is still alive."

For the next few days, they both experienced strange occurrences:

* Noises in the apartment when they were alone.

* Brief glimpses of figures in the mirror or in the reflections of windows.

* The sound of footsteps on the stairs, even though their apartment was on the ground floor.

One night, Lena found an old key in her coat pocket, which she hadn't remembered putting there.

The key was cold, heavy, etched with a spiral symbol—the same one they'd seen at Cliff House.

"Adam..." she whispered, showing him the key.

"Where did you get that?" he asked, looking at him in horror.

"I don't know... I found it in my coat."

Their eyes met.

Dom was still watching them. And clearly... **wasn't letting go completely.**
