Italian Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes Recipe 🥖
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 sub rolls or hoagie rolls
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: Fresh basil for garnish
Directions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground
beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess
fat.
2. Add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell pepper
to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables
soften.
3. Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and
black pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10
minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. While the mixture simmers, preheat your oven to 400°F
(200°C). Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise. Spread
butter on the cut sides and sprinkle with Parmesan
cheese.
5. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 5
minutes until golden and crispy.
6. Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the
rolls, add fresh basil if desired, and top with the other
halves. Serve immediately.

flakes to the beef mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey for beef to make it lighter, or
add sliced mushrooms for extra veggies.
