🛒 Ingredients
🥩 300g ground meat (beef or lamb)
🍚 1 cup white rice (uncooked)
🧄 2 garlic cloves (minced)
🧅 1/4 red onion (finely chopped, plus extra slices for
serving)
🌿 2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped, plus extra for garnish)
🥒 1/2 cucumber (sliced + extra grated for sauce)
🍅 1 tomato (sliced)
🥣 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
🧂 Salt & black pepper (to taste)
👩🍳 Instructions
Cook rice according to package instructions (12–15
minutes), fluff, and set aside.
In a bowl, mix ground meat with garlic, chopped onion,
dill, salt, and pepper; form into 6 meatballs (as shown).
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook
meatballs for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until
browned and cooked through.
Mix yogurt with grated cucumber, a drizzle of olive oil,
dill, salt, and pepper to make tzatziki.
Assemble the bowl with rice, meatballs, sliced cucumber,
tomato, onion, and a generous spoon of tzatziki. Garnish
with fresh dill.
💡 Notes & Variations
Add a squeeze of lemon for extra freshness.
Use chicken or turkey mince for a lighter version.
Serve with pita bread for a fuller Mediterranean
