His male manifestation was Ometecuhtli, and his female one was Ometecihuatl. This original married couple ruled the highest level of heaven, Omeyocan ("Place of Duality"), and engaged in lovemaking, which resulted in the birth of four great deities: Huitzilopochtli, Quetzalcoatl, Tezcatlipoca, and Xipe Totec. They were joined by Tlaloc and his wife Chalchiuhtlicue. It was also believed that Ometecuhtli and Ometecihuatl sent the souls of unborn children to Earth.

Texcatlipoca, Tezcatlipoca - "Smoking Mirror," "Lord of the Smoking Mirror"; one of the most important gods of the Aztec pantheon, part of the holy trinity. Co-creator and destroyer of successively created worlds. He had many nicknames. God of the Great Bear and the night sky. A great sorcerer. He can transform into various forms and sees all things in an obsidian sphere. The greatest god of the Central American pantheon. Every other creator deity was perceived as an aspect of Tezcatlipoca. According to the Aztec creation myth, Ometecuhtli and Ometecihuatl engaged in sexual intercourse, which resulted in the birth of four great deities: Huitzilopochtli, Quetzalcoatl, Tezcatlipoca, and Xipe Totec, called the four Tezcatlipocas. Xipe Totec ("Red Tezcatlipoca") ruled the first Sun. They were joined by Tlaloc and his wife Chalchiuhtlicue. The cult of Tezcatlipoca reached central Mexico around 1000 AD with the Toltecs, and since the time of the Aztecs (around 1325 AD), this god has accumulated the greatest number of aspects and titles of any deity. Some of these titles include: Yoalli Ehecatl (meaning "Night Wind"), Yaotl (meaning "Warrior"), Titlacuan (meaning "He Whose Slaves We Are"), Moyocoyatzin (meaning "Lord, the Self-Willing Ruler," "He Who Created Himself"), Yaotzin (meaning "Enemy"), Nezahualpilli (meaning "Fasting Prince"). Tezcatlipoca was associated with darkness, war, and death, and was said to have He faced warriors at night at crossroads. The Aztecs revered him as a patron deity of sorcerers and kingship. He was believed to be an omnipresent yet invisible god of shadows, possessor of a magic mirror that enabled him to foretell the future and peer into human hearts. He brought courage, wealth, and prosperity, but also death and misfortune. A reflection of Tezcatlipoca's supreme position was his identification with the jaguar, revered as the king of the wild beasts and lord of the night. Perhaps the most important of all his jaguar manifestations was the divine jaguar called Tepeyollotli ("Heart of the Mountain").

In the Aztec creation myth, Xipe Totec was also identified with the aspect of the god Tezcatlipoca who ruled the first of five "Suns," or earthly ages, initiating a cosmic sequence in which the destruction of each world was followed by its rebirth.
Xochipilli - Aztec god of fertility, punished sinners by sending them diseases of the reproductive organs. See: Xochiquetzal.
