Chocolate Chip Cookies Cake
Ingredients:
For the cookie cake:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
For the chocolate frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For decoration:
- Rainbow sprinkles
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round 9-inch
cake pan and line with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar,
and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and
salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and
stir until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
6. Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick
inserted into the center comes out with a few moist
crumbs.
7. Let cool completely in the pan before removing.
8. For the frosting, beat butter until creamy, then mix in
cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until
smooth and fluffy.
9. Pipe swirls around the edges of the cooled cookie cake
and top with rainbow sprinkles.
