Earl Grey Lemon Cake 🍋☕🍰

 



Ingredients:  


**Cake:**  

- 1 cup whole milk  

- 3 Earl Grey tea bags  

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour  

- 2 ½ tsp baking powder  

- ½ tsp salt  

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened  

- 1 ¾ cups sugar  

- 4 large eggs  

- 1 tbsp lemon zest  

- ¼ cup lemon juice  

- 1 tsp vanilla extract  


**Glaze:**  

- 1 cup powdered sugar  

- 2 tbsp lemon juice  


Directions:  


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf

pan or two 8-inch round cake pans.  

2. Heat milk until warm, steep tea bags for 5 minutes,

then cool.  

3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.  

4. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add

eggs one at a time, then mix in lemon zest, juice, and

vanilla.  

5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and tea-infused milk,

mixing until combined.  

6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 40-50 minutes

(loaf) or 30-35 minutes (round cakes). Cool completely.  

7. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice for glaze, then

drizzle over the cake.
