Shoes

One day, a young woman came to visit a friend who had recently moved into a new apartment. In the hallway, by the door, the woman noticed a man's shoes. Entering the living room, she began teasing her friend: "Where did you hide the man?" Confused, the friend replied that she was home alone. Surprised, the woman returned to the hallway. The shoes were no longer there.

While her friend was setting the table, the woman sat watching TV. The shows weren't interesting, so after a couple of minutes, she turned off the TV and was startled—the black screen reflected a man standing next to her, his head bowed. The woman frantically looked around, but there was no one else in the room. Frightened, she went into the kitchen. She didn't say anything to her friend, thinking she must have imagined it.

Later, as she was getting ready to leave, the woman went out into the hallway and saw a huge pile of shoes by the entrance. She pointed this out to her friend, but her friend merely advised her to stop fooling around. Sensing something was wrong, the guest went back into the living room and looked at the switched-off television.

In the reflection, the room was filled with a whole crowd of people standing around the girls, heads bowed.
