Baked Baguette with Bacon


Ingredients
1 baguette
6 slices bacon
5 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup cheese
2 green onions
Salt to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Fry the bacon until crisp. Pat dry with paper towels.


Cut out the core of the baguette and cut into small squares.


Whisk together the eggs, milk, pepper, chopped green onions, and 1/3 cup cheese. Toss the bread slices in this mixture until thoroughly coated.


Place the bacon in the baguette and pour the egg mixture over the bread slices.

 Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake in the oven until the eggs are set and the edges of the baguette are browned. Cut the baguette into several pieces. Before serving, you can warm it in a toaster to ensure the filling is evenly toasted.
