Matres, matrons, mathair, matronae – mothers, ancient Celtic protective deities, mothers of women, symbolizing fertility, abundance, and personal prosperity within the family, and also associated with death and the afterlife. Depicted as three women with baskets of fruit.

Medb - "Drunken Woman." Goddess of war, not belonging to the Morrigan. When the Morrigan use magic, Medb takes up arms herself. Running faster than the fastest horse, her sight blinds enemies. As a lewd girl, Medb requires thirty men a day to satisfy her sexual appetite.

Morrigan, Morrigu – "Ghost Queen" or "Great Queen," one of the Badb. Goddess of war, predecessor of Arthurian Morgan La Fey. Like Odin, capricious and faithless. A witch with a demonic laugh, she appears as a grotesque figure to those about to fall in battle. Her name also refers to a triad of goddesses, often referred to as different aspects of Morrigan.

Nantosvelta - goddess of the Celtic pantheon of Gaul, wife of the god Taranis (or Esus or Sucellos).

Nehalennia - a Celtic goddess who was worshipped on the island of Walchaeren.
