Green children

In 1887, two small children were found near the Spanish town of Banjos.

But these were no ordinary children lost or abandoned by their parents. They were discovered by farmers working in the fields who heard their piercing cries. Upon investigation, they found a small boy and girl, terrified and crying, sitting near the cave entrance. Their language was unfamiliar to the workers—certainly not Spanish. More mysterious, the children wore clothes made of a strange metallic fabric... and their skin had a strange, green hue.

After being brought to the village to care for the children, the boy soon died because it was difficult to persuade him to eat anything. The girl survived, however, and when she was finally able to communicate with her guardians in Spanish, she said that she and her brother came from a place where there was no sun, and the ground was constantly shining. When asked how they ended up in the cave, she replied that they heard a loud bang, were pushed by "something," and then found themselves in the cave.
