Big Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies

 



Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup molasses

1 large egg

2 cups all-purpose flour

1½ teaspoons ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)


Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until

light.

3. Add molasses and egg, mixing until smooth.

4. In another bowl, whisk flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves,

baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until

combined.

6. Roll dough into balls, then roll in granulated sugar.

7. Place on a baking sheet with space between each

cookie.

8. Bake until edges are set and centers are soft.

9. Cool before enjoying.

Cooking Time: 10–12 minutes

Total Time: 27 minutes

Servings: about 24 cookies
