Shrimp in cylinders part 2
...and I sat there, smiled, and pretended everything was fine, that I was happy for him! Gosh... it was awful, how could he not notice? How could he? Apparently, we understand each other without words! "
Don't cry, honey, guys are like that... "
"And I was a fool, thinking he was too..."
"Hush now, you'll find someone better, you'll see."
"No one else matters to me."
Magda was devastated. She felt she was losing not only love, but also a friend. Now they wouldn't see each other once or twice a week. Because he'd devote all his free time to that Ania. Luckily, she went to a different school. She couldn't understand what he saw in her. Because she had to admit, Ania was pretty, but looks only worked in the short term. A blonde not much shorter than Mateusz, blue eyes, a stunning smile. Shapely, skinny legs, and a very short miniskirt. There's no denying it, Magda looked like a gray mouse next to her. She wasn't in the habit of wearing miniskirts, and in fact, she didn't wear dresses at all. Instead of high heels, she preferred elegant shoes with small, wide heels. She was a brunette, and they usually got lost among the hot blondes and voluptuous brunettes. The café she loved so much, where she often spent time with Mateusz, had now become a place she never wanted to return to.
Yesterday, she'd spent about an hour with them and gone home. She couldn't stand the sight of Mateusz looking at his girlfriend so intensely that Magda felt an invisible dagger piercing her heart repeatedly. She had no right to, but she felt betrayed, deceived. She would have liked to avoid him, but that wouldn't have been fair to their friendship. The worst part was that Ania had clearly taken a liking to Magda. And that was what she feared most: that she would have to talk to her because Mateusz would surely give her his number.

-Madzik, wait!!! - the girl heard that beautiful, resonant voice behind her that was making her suffer so much now. She stopped and tried to be tough. After all, they hadn't spoken in two weeks.
-Oh, hi, Matti.
-Why are you avoiding me? Last Saturday after your match, I was waiting for you, but you ran away. Can you explain this to me?
-Because you're causing me pain just by being there - the girl was surprised she said it, but her tongue took over.
-Me?? What did I ever do to you?
-What do you mean? Are you dating Ania?
-Ahaaa...so you're jealous? Sorry, but Ania is my girlfriend and I have to devote some time to her too... I know I don't have much time for you right now, but I promise that this Saturday we'll go out together, okay?
-You don't understand anything....
-???
-I'm not jealous of you as a friend
. -So, as in who...? You don't mean to say that...
Magda looked at him with tears in her eyes. She couldn't say anything. She stood on tiptoe, pulled his head closer, and kissed him. And he didn't resist. She felt the heat flowing through her body. His strong arms, gripping her waist, made her want the moment to last and last...
"Now do you understand what I mean?"
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For making me realize who I truly care about."
And at that moment, Magda opened her eyes and a sad reality hit her. Mateusz had vanished, and with him the wonderful moments full of extraordinary ecstasy. And she... she lay on Agnieszka's lap, completely drenched in tears.
"Aguś, I had a beautiful dream," she said, rising.
"Don't think about it, it's not worth it.
" "Do you think it's that easy?"
"I know it's not. That's why we're going to a club tonight. We'll meet some cool guys and have some fun."
"First of all, you have to get up for school tomorrow..."
"First of all, don't make excuses, and secondly, I already know you have 9:30 on Mondays, so keep quiet."
"I see I have no choice..." "
You're catching on quickly.

The yellow dress perfectly accentuated Magda's athletic figure. Her short, loose hair danced freely just past her shoulders, and her lip gloss flashed a thousand colors. The girl tried to smile at her reflection, but it came out fake. That's what happens with a broken heart... "
I can't waste my life because of one guy!" she thought. "I'll go there and have a good time." She couldn't believe it. "I'll have a good time!" she repeated, her eyes lighting up. "I'll have a good time." A smile spread across her face.
She left the house and ran to Agnieszka.
"You here?" Aga couldn't help but feel shocked. She was always the one who went to pick up Magda, who, by the way, was never ready on time.
"I'm here. " "
Have I noticed an improvement in my mood? How is that possible?"
"Psychological therapy," she smiled mysteriously. Agnieszka decided not to ask any more questions.
"So, Aguś, shall we go?"
"Let's go. Aha. You look fantastic. Isn't that the dress Mateusz gave you for your 17th birthday?"
"So what if it's this one? You have to admit, the guy has good taste. I won't throw out all his stuff right away because I'd have to get rid of half the room, including the walls
." "Don't tell me he painted your walls."
"No! We did the painting together at my place. Have you forgotten how much you complained about me?"
"Come on, we'll be late!
"
Loud music, like #umcyś-umcyś#, reverberated in the room filled with rhythmically moving, heated bodies. Neon lights flickered to the beat. Magda sat alone at a table. Her friend had just been kidnapped by a handsome guy and was performing contortions a few meters away. Magda began to wonder what she was doing there. For someone who listened to Farben Lehre daily, punk rock was by no means the right place. And what's more, prolonged exposure to techno irritated her. Yet she often frequented discos. She fell in love with them thanks to Matti; he proved to her that you could actually have a good time there.
"Damn, he's in my head again," she fumed at herself.
She looked at Agnieszka. Her friend, a kindred spirit, yet so different. The complete opposite of Magda. An expert in dealing with men, a party animal, a techno-geek who loved teenage romance novels and dressed in pink clothes. Everyone wondered what kept them around.
"That boy will probably be there too," she thought. She could tell which one Aga would be seeing for at least the next few days, and which one was just a one-night stand.
Magda felt someone staring at her intently. She turned her head to the right and saw a pleasant-looking boy. He smiled brightly at her and stood up. He sat down next to her.
"Hi Madzia. What's up?" It was Wojtek, a teammate of her friend's. "
Hi, my friend dragged me here, and she's clearly the only one having fun."
"I noticed she's drifting there with my cousin."
"What can you say?"
"See how small this world is. Where's Mateusz?" He often told me about your trips to the ballet together." Magda had had enough. Wojtek was unknowingly hurting her.
"Now he'll probably be telling you about his outings with Ania.
" "What a change."
"The boy's simply fallen in love with us," Magda tried to control her voice. "
Well, come on. I was watching you for a moment, and you looked lost in thought."
A pleasant conversation ensued between them. After a few minutes, Magda forgot about Mateusz and had a nice time.
