Greek Grilled Chicken Gyro Wraps with Spicy Garlic Yogurt Sauce

 



Ingredients:

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

4 large pita breads or flatbreads

1 cup shredded lettuce

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese


For the Spicy Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt to taste


Directions:


Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

In a bowl, mix olive oil, oregano, smoked paprika, garlic

powder, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken thighs in the

mixture until well coated.

Grill chicken for 5–7 minutes per side or until fully cooked

and slightly charred. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice

thinly.

In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, hot

sauce, lemon juice, and salt to make the spicy garlic

yogurt sauce.

Warm the pita breads on the grill for 1–2 minutes.

Assemble wraps by layering lettuce, tomatoes, red onion,

grilled chicken, and crumbled feta. Drizzle with the spicy

garlic yogurt sauce.

Fold the wraps and serve immediately.
