chúpacabra 2

Our office received a videotape today showing the body of a decomposed goat. The body and viscera show signs of various wounds, which we assume have been exacerbated by the advanced stage of decomposition. The video footage lists a strange animal as the culprit of the goat's death. After re-examining the tape, I must conclude that the goat was attacked by a dog, and therefore we believe that the civil defense and police should investigate this matter. Since this incident concerns domestic animals, similar incidents should be reported to the Ministry of Agriculture. One of our ministry's functions is the protection and control of wild animals, so matters concerning domestic animals fall outside its scope." This report sparked outrage among researchers, led by Jorge Martin, who, among other things, has been involved in the investigation. He stated: "This report was prepared based on a video recording, without examining the dead goat. The 'experts' from the ministry did not even think of taking the goat or even some samples of its body to the laboratory for further examination, which they should have done if their goal was to truly issue an opinion based on scientifically researched facts. Despite their promise, they also did not show up to inspect the scene or organize a search for the strange creature. The ministry approached other similar incidents across the island in an equally suspicious manner. Contrary to official statements, the goat had been dead for only a few hours and was certainly not in an advanced state of decomposition. The large round holes on its body were not the result of decomposition, but wounds inflicted during mutilation. The report claims that the goat was the victim of a dog attack, but the wounds on its body are in the form of small holes over a centimeter in diameter, as well as smoothly cut circular depressions. An attack by a dog or any other known animal would have caused the tears in the skin and flesh typical of bites. No one with a scientific background in biology, zoology or veterinary medicine, approaching the problem objectively and honestly, after seeing these wounds will not agree with the statement that they are typical of bites from a dog, monkey or other predator, which is precisely what the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, is trying to convince the public.

So what is the Chúpacabra? Perhaps it's a new species of terrestrial animal unknown to science, or perhaps it originated from another planet. A very plausible explanation is that the Chúpa is the result of genetic research reportedly being illegally conducted on the island.

Chúpacabra found in Louisiana

Several photos of the Chúpacabra were taken

The photograph was taken in 1996 of a run-over animal lying on the side of the road in Pearce, east of Temple-Inland, Louisiana. The photograph was taken by Barbara Mullins. It appeared in the September 25, 1996, issue of the regional biweekly "The Dequincy News." Speculation immediately arose as to whether the photograph depicted the famous Chúpacabra, which had the misfortune of being run over by a speeding car. The photograph depicts a strange animal, the size of a very large dog (a St. Bernard), covered in long brown fur. It generally resembles a dog, except for its muzzle, which has been compared to that of a baboon. The legs appear too small and delicate for such a large animal, and the tail is missing. In 1998, renowned cryptozoologist Loren Coleman commented on the strange find, presenting the research of zoology students on the photograph, who concluded that the animal was a dog: "The research indicates that it is a dog, as evidenced by its rather delicate paws and well-groomed claws, which do not resemble the claws of a bloodthirsty beast. It also appears to have been recently trimmed, as its muzzle and legs are shaved in a manner typical of poodles."

Nebraska Chúpacabra

A photo taken by Aaron Murphy in Nebraska in 1998. He found what could be considered the carcass of a strange, possibly unknown animal. Murphy stumbled upon it in an old, abandoned silo, which, unlike others filled with snakes and lizards, was empty except for the aforementioned body. Murphy took photos and left the site, so it's difficult to definitively determine the nature of this strange find without examining the carcass. It's certainly the carcass of some predatory animal, perhaps a dog.
