chicken meatballs in tomato sauce
0.5 kg of poultry minced meat,
1 large wheat roll,
half a bunch of dill,
salt, herb pepper
Soak the roll in water, after soaking it, squeeze it and add it to the meat. Also add finely chopped dill. Knead the mass until it is uniform. Season gently with salt and pepper. Form 8 meatballs and put them in a pot with boiling water, when the water boils again reduce the heat and cook covered for about 20 minutes. Do not pour the water, it will be useful to make a sauce, remove only the meatballs from it. Prepare the sauce. Put the meatballs in the sauce and heat for a while. You can also put them in an ovenproof dish in the oven.
tomato sauce
1 glass of broth from cooking meatballs or broth,
1 carrot,
1 celery stalk,
0.5 kg of tomatoes,
a few sprigs of basil or oregano,
salt, herb pepper
Add grated carrots and celery to the broth, cook until tender. Peel the tomatoes, chop them and add to the carrots. Cook covered for 30 minutes. When they fall apart, remove the lid, increase the heat and cook until 1/3 of the sauce evaporates. Add the chopped basil, spices.
