Unfortunately, Darek's only close family members were his mother, grandmother, and grandfather. He didn't have a father, who died when he was six years old from lung cancer. His sweet mother was named Judyta. Judyta and Darek had a hard time because Judyta was unemployed and lived solely on her father's pension. One day, Judyta found a job, which she started immediately, but she went to her boss and asked if she could leave for a moment and call her son and let him know he was at work. The boss agreed, and Judyta called home and said, "

Two hours later, Andrzej, Darek's uncle, arrived, who is a police officer.

When he rang the doorbell twice and saw that Darek wasn't answering, he immediately knew something was wrong, as Darek had said he'd be home all day. So he pressed the doorknob. When he saw

the door open, he decided to go in. Just in case, he pulled out his gun, prepared to shoot, and went inside.

When Andrzej saw Darek tied up, he immediately ran up to him, untied him

, and asked what had happened. Darek just said he'd arrived just in time, as the house had been robbed two hours earlier.

So Andrzej asked what was missing and called a special team to check for fingerprints.

Darek said they'd taken three hundred zlotys, a television, and a stereo.

Fifteen minutes later, the team arrived and discovered that the burglars had left a lot of fingerprints, so they took a few and left.

When Judyta returned from work, Darek told her what had happened, and she was terrified.

A month and a half later, the police caught the burglars and recovered the stolen items.
