The Wolf Girl of Delphos

There are many feral children—children who were apparently raised in the wild, sometimes by animals, and who adopted animalistic behaviors from them—but this story of a wolf girl seen near Delphos, Kansas, in the early 1970s is one of the strangest. It's incredible that she could have had any connection to UFOs.

It all began in July 1974, when reports surfaced of sightings of a wild-looking girl, approximately 10 to 12 years old. Witnesses said she had tangled yellow hair and wore ragged red clothing. When she realized someone was watching her, she would run far away on all fours, like an animal. While searching for the girl, authorities reached central Kansas, where she attacked and scratched several people.

The possible connection with UFOs began several years earlier, when in 1971, sixteen-year-old Ronald Johnson claimed to have seen a mushroom-shaped UFO in a discovery area near Delphos. He also claimed that the UFO sighting caused him to lose his eyesight but also gave him psychic abilities. That day, he said, he encountered a wild, blond-haired girl who ran away from him on all fours. Was this the same girl, and did she have any connection to the UFOs?
