Ingredients
White bread
4 eggs
3/4 cup 35% cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 banana
6 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
Icing sugar
Maple syrup
Cut the bread into fairly thick slices.
Whisk the eggs, cream, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and white sugar until smooth.
Prepare 5-6 small ceramic molds (depending on the size of the loaf) and grease the insides with butter.
Dip each piece of bread in the egg-milk mixture, then lightly roll in 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
Place 3 pieces of prepared bread in a baking dish, sandwiching a slice of banana between each.
Place on a serving plate, then refrigerate for at least an hour (or overnight). Before baking, combine the remaining 4 tablespoons of brown sugar with a tablespoon of butter and grease the bread in each dish. Bake at 175°C for 30-35 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup or honey.
