* 200 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
* 200 g smoked sausage (sliced)
* 1/2 cup flour
* 1/2 cup oil (for roux)
* 1 onion (chopped)
* 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
* 2 celery stalks (chopped)
* 3 cloves garlic (minced)
* 4 cups chicken or seafood broth
* 1 cup okra (sliced)
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp thyme
* 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
* 2 bay leaves
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 2 cups cooked white rice
* Green onions & parsley (for garnish)

1. In a large pot, cook flour and oil over medium heat,
stirring constantly, until a deep brown roux forms.
2. Add onion, bell pepper, and celery; cook until softened.
3. Stir in garlic, sausage, and spices; cook for a few
minutes.
4. Slowly add broth, stirring to combine smoothly.
5. Add okra and bay leaves, simmer for 30–40 minutes.
6. Stir in shrimp and cook until pink and tender (about 5
minutes).
