Ingredients
Potatoes 6
Butter 6 tsp
Gouda cheese 6 pieces
Garlic 6 cloves
Rosemary 2 sprigs
Salt
Ground black pepper
Herbs
Sunflower oil 2 tbsp
Wash and peel the potatoes and garlic. Cut a small piece off one end of the potato so that it can stand upright.
Make slits along the length of the potato with a knife, as if cutting for French fries, but leaving about 1-2 cm (0.5-0.8 in) short.
Cut the garlic into quarters and insert between the cut potato halves. Wash the rosemary sprig, sprinkle the needles on top, and insert between the potato wedges. Season with salt. Cut the butter into pieces. Spread butter between the potato wedges.
Place the potatoes in a rimmed baking dish. Top each potato with a slice of cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
Serve hot, sprinkled with herbs.
